Archstone Masonry

Jerrod the owner of Archstone was emphatic to point out that he is one of the best if not the best and a very conscientious and honest man. He said the mortar on exterior house wall is very hard and can't be ground out. Per his expert advise the best things is pressure wash and scrape out loose and damaged mortar and use sponging technique to fill in cavities with type S mortar. I understood and agreed asking for care with pressure washer. Quote was $2922 before tax. He said the wall wouldn't look much better than it does now but he would get all the places having egregious deterioration and then seal. Two days work. Moving forward his team (him and a 18 year old nephew) came and went in less than 4 hours. Sealant remained to be done and I could see that cost was itemized at $400. I personally could do it in 1/2 hour so I asked him to scratch it from the price. He was very amenable to that. The issue arose when I was sealing I found and sent him photos of spots with severe erosion that were missed and should take about 1 hour to fix. Some on wall, one in bottom corner of house, one big seam in windowsill. I sent email and photos asking for him to return. He didn't reply. 1 week later I reached him by phone and he said he didn't get the email/or hadn't read it yet but he wasn't going to come back for 'pinholes' which I could do myself. First of all I could do everything myself but that's time that I paid him for. He is too busy to come. Photos are from the south wall as discussed.

Very easy to work with, whole process went very smooth. He was easy to correspond with, completed the job within a few days, cleaned up perfectly when finished. Very reasonable pricing. Have already recommended them to a friend who needs a retaining wall built.

Jerrod was able to quickly get out and provide a quote. He was patient with all my questions and was able to fit us in quickly. He found bricks that matched the original bricks incredibly well and everything looks great. He came out and did a quality control check and made sure his crew did everything properly. It is clear he takes a lot of pride in his work. Looking forward to hiring him again for future masonry projects.

Jerrod came out to look at the chimney in the middle of the house. Our goal was to remove it since it serves no purpose anymore. We are currently into a remodel and we hoped to get the work done in coordination with the other work. He offered a fair price for the work and offered to do the work on a weekend to accommodate our schedule. Their truck was pulling up just before 8, nice and punctual. 6 hours of hard labor for Gavin and Aaron and the chimney was gone. What impressed me the most was the clean up and prep work. They laid plastic, cleaned up super well and left me with what I wanted, a chimney gone. Great guys, polite, hard working, and clean.

They fixed our chimney, which had been leaking for years and many people had said they couldn't do it.

Hands down the best masons ever! Their work is like a piece of art -- everything is so evenly spaced and straight and BEAUTIFUL! They're also just really nice guys, and I felt comfortable having them at my house.

Everything was just fine. They repointed a cinder block wall that had developed a crack due to a water leak which had been repaired, and fixed/sealed the chimney caps. We would hire them again.

They showed up on time and completed the job on time too. Cleaned up and everything was done really well!

Jerrod was great. He stopped by to look at the job and offered suggestions on alternate materials that would save us money and shorten the timeline of the project. This allowed us to slightly increase the size of the project and still stay within our budget. The crew was great. They worked quickly and efficiently and managed to complete the job faster than estimated. They cleaned up the work area afterwards so you couldn't tell they had been working there. Communication was excellent and I knew what was happening each day. I would definitely hire them again for my next masonry project.

They did an awesome job within budget. They were very punctual and did a great job working me into their schedule. Excellent job all around and even called to follow up with me after completing the work. I was quite happy with their service. I highly recommend them and will use them, again.

It was pretty good. It did not end up being $500, the advertisement makes it sound like you are going to get your chimney repaired for $443 but it ended up being like $2600. I thought I was getting this good deal so I did not shop around. I guess that teaches me a lesson to have more people come and give me an estimate. I don't know if that was the average price. I would use them again. They did really good work. They basically rebuilt my chimney. they were punctual. They got the work done when they said they would. It took two days. They were really good. They were careful of the shrubbery. They cleaned up really well.

Archstone was knowledgable and did excellent quality work, carefully matching the expansion job with the original stonework. Jerrod and his crew worked efficiently and within the agreed upon time frame to complete this project. Good communication and the extra effort in cleaning up the job and protecting the BBQ area was greatly appreciated. I would recommend this company without hesitation! They are skilled craftsmen and a pleasure to work with.

No work was ever done. I want a refund for the Angist List $499 I paid.

Very Professional operation. They were on time and completed the work as they said they would. As expected, a fireplace and chimney removal is a messy and labor intensive process. I think they said what they hauled away was about eight thousand pounds. Cost about $2000.00. I had bids as low as $1500 and as high as $5000.00. Only took one day and they cleaned up afterward.
