"My chest freezer broke down and I did not want to buy a new one since I could not afford the same size. I reached out to appliance parts pro and they were confident that what I ordered would fix my problem. $200 in parts later and I now have a broken freezer on my porch and am still paying the loan to this terrible company. They just want you to order parts and try them because they know you can't return them. I hate this company with every fiber of my being and will make sure that anyone that has a broken appliance will not use them. To top it off, their site is so screwed up that it give you an error trying to log back in. I ended up having to create THREE different accounts because every time I went to place a new order, it would not let me login and it would not send a password reset email. DON'T GET RIPPED OFF."

We service most brands of major appliances either in or out of warranty. Products include Refrigerators, Ice Machines, Washers, Dryers, Dishwashers, Ranges (Gas or Electric), Water Heaters (Gas or Electric), Disposals, Microwaves, Compactors and Electric Beds. We have service technicians travel to your home or you can bring your appliance to our shop and save $$. Our friendly and knowledgeable shop technicians can discuss your appliance needs by phone to help answer questions you may have. If you are a do-it-yourselfer call us with your model number and we can research parts that you can purchase from us locally.

"They repaired my washing machine at a cost of about $200.00, and within a week I was having the same problem. I called again and they sent a new repairman who said the original fix was wrong and I needed a different part which they would order. After two months I followed-up with them to find out that the part was on back order and they had no idea when it would be received. I understand the back order problem, but their customer- service is terrible. To their credit, when I asked for a refund it was made."

2008 years of experience

Appliancezone.com is a leading on-line retailer of appliance parts and accessories for do-it-yourself homeowners. Incorporated in 2008, it was started by CEO, Jim Allen and his wife Paula, who operated an appliance repair business for nearly fourteen years prior to starting the internet company Appliance Zone.

"This is the first online review I've ever written -- my experience with this company was that bad. Three aspects that deserve attention: 1) I placed an order and tried to cancel six minutes later. Turns out they don't accept cancellations. 2) I couldn't find a phone number, so I had to work the return/refund by email. The exchange was painful -- so unhelpful I felt like I was interacting with a bad chatbot. 3) I ended up eating shipping costs (expected) and got hit for a 50% restocking fee (unexpected) because I refused the package instead of paying to ship it back. Didn't matter that it went to the correct address, was clearly labeled, and had prior return authorization. So I ended up with a $21 refund on a $60 order, and a lesson learned about where not to buy appliance parts."

Cost is determined by the job. Locally owned. Additional address - 2601 N Monroe, Spokane, WA 99205.

"If I could select negative stars, I would. This company is so poorly ran. It's just a bad business. The company as a whole. They lack communication and customer service. They think they can just continue to treat customers rudely. We, the customer, pretty much have no choice but to use them. Their managers are rude and unreasonable, offering no rectification for their bad business mistakes. They literally sold my appliance out from under me after I had already paid them for it. Their delivery crew refused to setup the appliance or put them where I wanted them. They had the audacity to tell me to move my old appliances out of their way instead of offering to move it out of the way for me. They didn't plug in the power cord or even offer. If I didn't have the specialty tools to install the power cord I would have been burnt. I will never buy from them again and recommend no one to ever use them ever again."

"No show on appointment after I waited three weeks. I called to ask him where they were. They said their truck broke down. They couldn?t get to me so then they called me the following day and booked me out for another three weeks. I said this is ridiculous. I asked a manager to call me. He called me and was yelling at me telling me it wasn?t his fault. It was Mike White Ford?s fault for not getting their truck fixed in time it ruined their whole business. I was flabbergasted. I didn?t know how to respond. He was yelling at me and telling me he was tired of people yelling at him. It wasn?t his fault. I suggested he find a different type of job. I?m calling the manufacture directly. Do not buy anything from Freds appliance they have no service"

While the rating will tell you how many watts the refrigerator needs at the peak of its cycle, it requires additional wattage to start. At the bare minimum, you’ll need a 1,500-watt generator to get the fridge up and running after a blackout. A 2,000-watt generator should be sufficient for most home refrigerators.

The temperature on your oven thermostat is actually an average temperature. It’s normal for an oven’s actual temperature to vary by a few degrees at any given time. In other words, when you test the thermostat, your oven thermometer may never hit 350 degrees Fahrenheit exactly (though gas ovens tend to be more on the nose). You may want to take a few readings with an oven thermometer just to get a sense of why your gas oven is not heating correctly.

It’s usually more affordable to repair small appliances than replace them, with the average repair cost of $150 and the average replacement cost around $300. Of course, these prices vary depending on the type of small appliance, the brand, and its age. If you know your appliance is high-quality, it may be best to pay for a repair. However, if your appliance is nearing the end of its useful life anyway, it might be more cost-effective to replace it. A professional appliance tech could help you decide what’s best.

Taking good care of your TV is a great way to help avoid costly repairs. Some ways to care for your TV include:

  • Cleaning your TV regularly by dust monthly.

  • Use a microfiber cloth and TV screen-cleaning spray to clean the screen.

  • Don’t leave static images on your TV screen, which could cause pixel damage.

  • Check HDMI and other cable connections monthly.

  • Allow plenty of space around the TV for ventilation.

  • Decide on a location not directly in front of a light source, like a window.

  • Always power off your TV when not in use.

There are a few scenarios when replacing all kitchen appliances simultaneously makes sense, including major renovations, moving into a new home, or purchasing as a set. If you want to refresh your kitchen upon move-in day or start over during a renovation, consider purchasing and replacing your kitchen appliances at once to save on labor costs. Also, if your appliances are all original to the home or are older and require increasing amounts of maintenance and repair, replacing them all at the same time may be a good option.
