As of today, I still don't have soft water working on my home. Right now, I am working with labor industries. And I am trying to get my soft water unit.

It went pretty well except that we thought they were bypassing the outdoor faucet. It turns out that when we were watering our lawn, we were using soft water. They did not bypass the outdoor faucet and we did not know that. Everything seems to be working fine. Other than the fact that we have to shut off the softener when using the hose.

We have tried to contact Culligan several times this year(2014). Communication with company is unsatisfactory. The office does not return calls. The few times that a person answers the phone the personnel do not practice basic phone courtesy. In short, they are rude. Despite having a service contract with the company, we are not able to set a date and time range(am or pm) for company to deliver salt and or perform basic service which they are contracted to do. The technical personnel are knowledgeable and efficient when you see them. The unit is working okay but what to do when we have a problem with it?

Culligan is great at delivering salt for their water softening unit in my home.
They are not so great at explaining what their system does.
I would not recommend them.

We have a contract with them, which we have what is called the lifetime service and that covers the softener and salt service.

Culligan sales representative guaranteed this water purification system would provide clean potable water from my well. He bragged about how happy this system would make me and that I would have clean, great tasting water. The system did not live up to expectations. This expensive system does very little to clean up my well water. The water is not potable. The water is still discolored and contains reddish particulars. Culligan would not remove or refund the system.

CULLIGAN WATER SERVICE found that after they had tested our system, they wanted us to get a new system. However, their readings for the test were extremely high when we knew our levels were not that high. He was very rude to me. He answered my questions but did not answer exactly what I was asking. He was late. It was not a good experience.

Have a water softener purchased new from them 6 years ago that does not soften the water. I have hard water stains everywhere. Got a coupon in the mail for a $14.95 check-up; called to schedule. Sent repairman out who said nothing was wrong and I got a bill for $145.00! Said they were not told of coupon when I called (I did tell them). Arrogant and argumentative; water softener still not working. Said they will not reduce the bill. Meanwhile, I also still have a machine that won't work.

THEY DID A PROFESSIONAL JOB OF INSTALLING HE WATER SOFTENER SYSTEM AND IT HAS REALLY BEEN WONDERFUL. IT IS AMAZING HOW HARD WATER WILL DAMAGE CLOTHES AND DISCOLOR APPLIANCES. CULLIGAN DID A GREAT JOB.
