Upon your arrival we will enter, conduct a detailed orientation, then inspect the home together. During which I’ll explain everything and answer any questions you may have. When we’ve completed inspecting, we’ll review the draft of the upcoming report, so you’ll know what issues will be in the report before we leave. Please be prepared to spent 4 hours with me. Why hire an inspector whose services merely meet Licensing and Certification minimum requirements which focus only upon protecting your contractual needs by identifying deficiencies and concerns? When for the same investment, you can participate in an LBI Education Inspection which in addition to providing you with a more comprehensive report, also teaches you all about the property, answers your questions, and provides a report created to serve as an informative manual similar to what is in the glove box of your vehicle.

"I’ve been a loyal Snell customer for years, but this recent experience was deeply disappointing. After our AC failed in August, Snell diagnosed a leaking evaporator coil. We chose to replace the system through them, and the salesperson took time to evaluate the setup in advance. However, on installation day, the crew arrived without the correct ductwork and had to make adjustments on the fly. Unfortunately, the adjustments were poorly executed: • The Aprilaire humidifier was mounted on sloped ductwork rather than a level surface, contrary to manufacturer specifications. • The hole for the humidifier was cut inaccurately. • The drain line was left kinked in multiple places. Aprilaire support later confirmed the humidifier was not installed correctly and warned this could lead to water backing up into the system — a concern I had raised with the installers before they left. Despite multiple follow-up attempts, I received no meaningful response. I was told my concerns would be escalated, but no one followed through. This was a major investment, and I now feel I need to bring in another HVAC team to correct issues that should have been resolved from the start. I’ve recommended Snell in the past, but I can’t in good faith do so now after this experience."

I was charged $700 for a simple thermostat replacement, which I believe was unreasonably high and unfair. I was under the impression that the quoted estimate represented the maximum expected cost only if the technician had to perform additional wiring or complex installation work. If you want to install an Ecobee or any other type of thermostat, you can simply YouTube the installation, which provides step-by-step instructions on how to unwire, label, and rewire to the new thermostat. For my installation, I was under the impression that additional wiring might be needed, but it turned out to be a straightforward swap of the old thermostat with a new Ecobee unit, a process that took only about 15 minutes. Despite that, I was still charged the full amount. The Ecobee Premium thermostat itself costs around $250, meaning they charged nearly $500 just for labor, regardless of how simple or quick the installation is. To make matters worse, the installation only comes with a 30-day warranty, which hardly justifies such a high price. I tried to communicate and explain that this charge was unreasonably high and unfair, but they simply said, “It is what it is.” If you’re considering a thermostat installation, I strongly suggest hiring a professional through Thumbtack, where qualified experts can do the same job for under $150 with transparent pricing and good service. I expected fairness, honesty, and reasonable pricing from Glenmont, but unfortunately, that was not my experience."
