"Pyramid was recommended to us by a friend who has done a lot of remodeling and has priced granite in many locations in the area. She was right--after shopping around for a granite or quartz countertop for our guest bathroom remodel, Pyramid Granite had the best selection AND best price. We were looking for something that would coordinate with existing tile in the bathroom and it was easy to find several choices at Pyramid. They were very professional, helped us make a decision, came out to measure and delivered the product ON TIME. We ultimately settled on granite and our countertop is gorgeous--we will definitely be coming back when we remodel our primary bathroom! Ask for Temon--he is great!"
"Looney’s Tile and Grout did an outstanding job in removing my outdated white subway tile kitchen backsplash and installed a beautiful mosaic and travertine backsplash! It looks incredible! I am very pleased! Frank and Giovanni were very professional and polite, on time, and very good in communicating the time they would be arriving. I highly recommend and would use them again for future tiling projects in my home. Thank you Frank and Giovanni!!"
"We used Sam to fully remodel our master bathroom and do some cosmetic work in our guest bathroom. We took down walls and started completely from scratch. Sam did all of the demolition, prep work, plumbing, electrical and installed some very intricate marble mosaic tile, for us on the floor of the bathroom and in the shower. Sam is punctual, responsive and extremely knowledgable about his craft. His men do incredible work when it comes to the finishes and he keeps a very clean workspace. All along the process Sam was present at the job and addressed any minor issues we had along the way immediately. You will not find any better bang for your buck in this area. I highly recommend him and we just hired him again to do even more work in our home."
"I had tiles that had come loose due to improper installation (by someone else). William remove that tile and hardy board to clean up the bad installation. He put down a new membrane and tile. He even found a new tile that matched the old ones. Great job!"
"Marconi has gone above & beyond in every aspect of the work he’s done at my properties, and that is why I’ve hired him several more times. His expertise and attention to detail were very obvious - the quality of what he delivered was superb. He is also a very easy and adaptable person to work with! He can do almost any kind of work - he’s done everything for me from remodeling in my kitchens and bathrooms to painting interior & exterior, drywall and plaster repairs, flooring installation, exterior landscaping and paver installation, and even smaller remodeling fixes to ensure that everything worked well together. I am so grateful for all of his work at reasonable prices and timelines. Look forward to working with him again!"
"Adrian and CCR did an amazing job for us, and we were incredibly happy with the results. They remodeled our kitchen and bathroom. From new cabinetry, backsplash, tile, to new vanities, drywall, and electrical work, they did it all and the quality of work was excellent. They were patient with us and helped up along as we were making up our minds on design and material choices. They worked quickly, efficiently, and were so considerate that our neighbors even left a note thanking them for doing such a great job of keeping dust and debris to a minimum. We would definitely work with them again and have given their number to other neighbors and friends who have already given Adrian and CCR a call."
"They were great. They were really flexible. Omar came out twice to help me walk through everything and be sure we got everything documented. They were easy to work with as far as scheduling. They were really professional and got things done when they said they would. They were always on time. On the carpet installation they ended up rushing the order for us and moved their schedule around to accommodate travel plans that we had, so that was really nice. The quality of the work was really high. Everything turned out beautifully and we are really happy with it."
"Excellent experience and superb work. We hired them to do a major bathroom project. Price was very reasonable, helped with planning, started right away, and put in the extra hours to see that the job was done right. We would hire them again without a doubt. Thanks again!"
"Very professional and reliable workers who arrived on time, did an outstanding job installing a tile backsplash, worked diligently and accurately. I highly recommend this company."
"The marble is beautiful and close to the 4 year old sink marble as you can get from different slabs!! Always on time and staff and installers were professional and friendly!!! Highly recommend."
Backsplash Installation questions, answered by experts
DIY is possible for small projects. Professional services ensure precision and long-lasting results.
You can use sanded or unsanded grout for a shower pan, but sanded grout isn’t the best option for shower walls. For those areas, you’ll want to use unsanded grout, which works well on vertical surfaces and is less likely to slump than sanded grout. Alternatively, you can use epoxy grout for shower walls.
Yes, cracked tiles allow water to seep through the substrate or subfloor, leading to mold and mildew growth. It can also cause severe structural damage. At the very least, water damage can cause your tile to lift from the substrate, meaning one cracked tile can lead to several cracked tiles. It’s a good idea to waterproof tile in areas with direct water exposure or lots of moisture.
It’s best to start with tiling the shower floor before moving on to the walls for the most visually-pleasing results. When taking on any tiling project, you’ll want the wall tiles to “sit” neatly on the floor tiles rather than overlapping them. Finishing your floor tiles first will allow you to place your wall tiles without any gaps, holes, or awkward intersections.
Per the International Code Council, walk-in shower floors should have a minimum slope of 1/4-inch per foot (or a 2% slope) towards the drain. The slope should be no steeper than 1/2-inch per foot (or a 4% slope). This helps safely direct water into the drain rather than all over your bathroom.
