This is a little bit of a different review. The other day, the disposal and a few outlets suddenly stopped working. I assumed that one of the circuit breakers had been tripped, and went to check, but none had been. I flipped them all anyways to be sure and checked a few other things, but nothing worked. So I grudgingly looked for an electrician, even though I was sure it was something simple. I went to Angie’s List and solicited 4 quotes, and ultimately set up an appointment for an electrician to come. Only Brandon from J & G messaged me to ask about the problem, and after I gave more details, he provided the solution. It turns out that GFCI outlets have their own circuits built in and are reset directly on the outlet itself (just push the reset button). I would have been very annoyed if I had to take off work, wait for the electrician and pay the service fee just for him to push the reset button. So, even though J & G didn’t work in my house, they provided great service (at no charge). If I ever do need real electrical work, I’ll definitely be calling them first. Thanks!

Great service, very responsive! After running our AC for the first time this summer, we started to get spotty electric service -- the lights were flickering on and off, the refrigerator wasn't working, the oven wasn't working. We found J&G Electric on Angie's List and gave them a call. We spoke with Eric, who immediately answered our call (on a Sunday, no leaving a voice-mail and hoping for a call-back, no intermediary customer representative, we were able to speak directly with the electrician immediately!) who recommended that we call Pepco first. He explained that this sounded like an issue with the power lines outside of the house and that we wouldn't have to incur the emergency costs of having an electrician come -- we appreciated his honesty, as he could have easily come and charged us! Eric explained all of this very patiently and kindly. Unfortunately, it later turned out that it wasn't an issue for Pepco, so we called Eric back -- he showed up very early in the AM the next day. He was able to quickly diagnose and repair the issue within an hour (see attached picture), totally restoring our electricity and mercifully bringing AC and the internet back to us. Eric was very pleasant and kind (despite being up early in the morning to help us with an emergency electrical call), effective, patient, and considerate (he wore a mask and observed the appropriate precautions for Covid-19). We heartily recommend J&G -- we will surely hire them again for future electrical issues. Thank you!

Company responded quickly. Technician arrived on time and was very professional and competent. He resolved the problem quickly and explained the problem and repairs. Given the current virus situation he wore a mask and maintained social distancing.

given the age of the outdoor landscape lighting, J&G did an excellent job of using what parts of the system could be used given the efficiency of LED. So no need to swap out a transformer or existing wiring. Floodlights, both timer and motion detection work well and as expected. All new fixtures were used for floodlights and landscape, deck, and front walkway lighting. Cost below includes cost of fixtures and labor. Major % of cost was for fixtures.

On Thanksgiving morning, we developed a circuit breaker problem involving kitchen appliances. I left a message with J&G, and Joey called me back in half an hour. On the phone, he identified the problem and patiently walked me through troubleshooting. Success in 5 minutes without a visit! He was so gracious and professional, and would not take compensation. He saved our thanksgiving! He is now on the top of our electrician list, and I’ve already recommended him to a friend.
