"This is the second time I've hired DB's Plumbing & Drain and I continue to be very happy with them. This time, there were two problems: A main sump pump that had died and a backup sump pump I had connected with flexible tubing which began springing pinhole leaks within months and spraying water all over the room. DB's swapped the dead pump with a spare I had on-hand and reattached the backup pump to the outflow pipe with standard PVC piping. They also joined both pumps to the main pump's larger outflow pipe with a Y-junction which should improve the backup's rate of flow. While they were at it, they replaced the check valves and disposed of a lot of rusty nails and junk that had been swept into the sump pit over the years. All told it only took 2 hours and now everything is quieter, no water spraying around and I have peace of mind that the place isn't going to flood in the next winter storm."

"Great experience. The previous reviews were spot-on. This business is all Lazaro - you deal with Lazaro from the beginning and Lazaro is there every day throughout the job. He is personable, patient, explains everything clearly, is prompt, responsive, reasonably priced, sensitive to budget, creative coming up with solutions for unique situations, and flexible on scheduling and on changes that may come up during the job. I could tell he was the one when I first met him; he measured everything and listened carefully to my concerns and suggestions. This is entirely unlike the other highly-rated Angie's List big business from which I requested an estimate, who sent a young marketing guy out who provided a fancy folder, did not really listen (just kept saying "yeah, we can do that, and we'll throw in some other things at no additional cost"), took no measurements and provided an outrageous quote. In addition to reinforcing the substructure and sloping the driveway correctly away from the house, Lazaro came up with solutions including beautiful gravel side drains and reinforcing the previously spread-apart area with a concrete border hidden under the gravel. He also reset our fence post that had been rising due to the poor drainage and installed a downspout drain under the reset driveway with a pop-up drain on the other side instead of having the downspout pour directly onto the pavers, which also may have led to our previous problems. And he was creative in redistributing our oil-stained pavers in a random pattern so they wouldn't be as noticeable. Great job."

"French drain was installed with drain boxes, berm installed near property line, sump pump installed into new drain, top soil added in disturbed areas, grass seed/straw over same. Company told me they'd be back to be sure grass was growing plus I needed more top soil and a cap is missing from sump pump line, but had no repeat visit -- this is my only complaint. The drain held up during/after recent big storm. Berm is deteriorating due to storm and more grass seed was needed before storm. Otherwise, I am very pleased. Company owner and workers were very pleasant. He explained process as work progressed. They're a little expensive, but it was a job well done."

They offered a reasonable solution (sealing the visible cracks and holes in the concrete and I was contacted within a couple of days with an estimate and scheduling options. Sean was our tech and he did a fantastic job diagnosing the issue beyond just the cracks. He not only address all the holes and cracks in the concrete and mortar, he sealed up additional entry points above the foundation. He sourced additional materials to cover openings for cable lines. He went above and beyond and gave us measured information on how we should continue to monitor and treat this area as the house settles.
