"Thank goodness for Mastero Edgar, his family and Crew! It was a dark and stormy night in Feb 2021, icy yard and flooded basement. We had cleared our septic tank 3 months prior and the basement flooded with clean water! We had hired a plumbing company 2 nights in a row...no clear answers despite hours of work!! Then I reached Angie.. Mr. Edgars daughter , Mr. Edgar overheard me, and spoke to me at 8:45 pm... on a Saturday night !!!! He did not have to... but he did. He found the problem....the following day I watched the most synchronized orchestra by the team ! Still mesmerized by the way the work was carried out! I work in health care, I am a business woman and I love classical music! Let me tell you all, their work is innovative! "Overall I thought this project went pretty well.  Cliff Hott (owner) and Kevin (solid worker) quickly diagnosed the problem and told me exactly what they were going to do.   These to guys know what they are doing.  It was amazing watching Kevin...this guy did not slow down as he moved a thousand miles per hour.  I got tired just watching how fast he moved.  They showed up exactly when they said they would to do the repair.  The repair took about 2 hours to complete and then I had to wait an extra day for Loudoun County inspector to come out and sign off on the repair once it was completed.  This delay was NOT the fault of Loudoun Septic.  I take pretty good care of my lawn so I was concerned about them digging the trench and tearing up the back yard.  Cliff and Kevin did am excellent job.  Cliff went the extra mile to dig up solid rectangles of good grass and place them to the side so that they could be place back on trench once it was filled back in.  At the very end of the project, Kevin went above and beyond to make sure he replaced the sod back to the best of his ability.  I am pretty sure many of other of contractors would have just replaced the trench with dirt and not cared about the grass.  For this effort they get an A+.  Another item to note was the Cliff quickly pointed out to me that I had a cheap brand filter in my main septic tank.  He replaced it with a commercial grade heavy duty filter.  He and Kevin gave me a crash course on how to clean the filter and even rigged up a long handle for me to grab it out of the tank so that I would not have to reach way down in the tank to retrieve the filter.  The cost of the new filter and re-cutting of the "T" pipe was included in the total cost.  Laurie who is the office manager for Loudoun Septic was very friendly and was always available when I called to ask questions.

"Edwin, who did the work, was pleasant and efficient, and he did a fine job digging down to the top of the tank, pumping out the sludge, and restoring the surface of the soil nicely. There was one problem. My front, asphalt driveway is not designed to hold the weight of the truck, and he initially drove up onto the driveway. At the time I made the appointment, I emphasized that the truck was to be driven around back and not onto the driveway. I phoned the day of the appointment and reminded the office that the truck was to be driven to the back of the house and that I would show the driver where to enter the path behind the house. My guess is that the office did not communicate this information to Edwin."

"It couldn't have gone better! I called them Thursday night and Rick and his son, Wyatt, came out early the next morning. I know nothing about a septic system, but Rick was so helpful, understanding and HONEST!! I have had this problem for the past 5 days, but seemed to clear up after I had called another well-known company because my toilet was backed up. All they did was run a "snake" through the pipes and charged me TWICE as much as Rick Aits did and Rick did WAY more than the other company. It might not mean much, but the little things matter! When Rick and Wyatt dug up my yard to get to the tank, he saved the sod to put back as best as he could instead of just tearing up my yard. I really appreciate that. "The problems were strange and required some investigation. The team first focused on the washer drainage. Eventually they used a camera inserted into the clearance pipe to check the drainage pipe from the house to the septic tank. They discovered a "dip" in the pipe, possibly resulting in an obstruction that might have caused the water to back up, kind of like a rock in a stream. (Admittedly, I may not describe this as clearly as I should...not a plumber!). Using shovels and an excavator, they dug about 5 feet into the ground between the house and the septic tank, ultimately discovering both the dip/weakening in the pipe and a 3" crack (almost half of the pipe) closer to the house. I feel like their work saved us much more money down the road, because without investigating/fixing the "dip" in the pipe, we would never have know about that crack. Without repair, it could would likely have begun leaking back into the foundation. The team was able to replace a 10' section of pipe, connect it to the septic, and confirm a steady drain of water. We have not had the backup or any drainage issues since. However, the smell didn't completely leave the laundry room. They came out again and, after a couple of smoke tests and cuts into the drywall, discovered a vent pipe that had in years past (we've owned the house for 5 years) simply been cut to move the washing machine hookups to the side wall (rather than the back). Although the smoke largely discharged through the roof vents as designed, this uncapped vent allowed septic odors to creep back into the washing room, particularly in the morning when the air outside was heavier. They were able to cap the pipe, and that removed the odor. We have not had any issues since they completed their work. The team was very responsive, and worked with me to reschedule the washing room work after a death in one of the worker's family...only slipped a single day. They also reduced the cost for disconnecting/moving the washer and dryer, since they didn't reconnect them (We were of course going to have to do get drywall repair/paint work after they finished). Although I am hoping to avoid any plumber issues for a while, I know who I will call if something comes up. Absolutely recommend this team."
