"I can't recommend DB's plumbing highly enough. Our garbage disposal stopped working. We know absolutely nothing about garbage disposals and thought we needed a new one (a lot of $$$ in the post-holiday season when we are trying to budget). But Chris, the plumber, got the old one working again. He could easily have said, "Yup, you need a new one." Instead, he was honest to a fault. Can't say enough good things about this company and we will use them again. The office was also really courteous and easy to work with ."

"This plumbing service comes highly recommended! When faced with a potentially expensive water main issue, the plumber worked to minimize costs by repairing instead of replacing the entire main. The plumber showed excellent knowledge of the area and its plumbing, which led to efficient problem-solving. The plumber was incredibly responsive, addressed concerns without delay, and completed the work professionally and efficiently. The work was done without wasting time, and the results were flawless. If you want an honest, skilled, and cost-conscious plumber, look no further!"

"This is the third repair project that I have used Right Now Plumbing for. John-O did my first project, Jim-Bo did my second, and Andy performed my third repair earlier today. I consider all three of these plumbing technicians to be of the highest quality repair people. They are extremely well-trained and competent. They are very professional in every way. They impress me as being very honest and hard-working. They are on-time and don't waste time in performing the requested service/repair. I have dealt with numerous repair people over the years (my house is now 39-1/2 years old), and now consider Right Now my "go-to" plumber when needing additional repairs. Their pricing is comparable to other plumbers in the area. Their response time is faster than most other plumbers. Since their repair work is done right the first time, their prices are competitive, and their technicians are very pleasant people to work with, I would highly recommend Right Now Plumbing to anyone needing plumbing repair services in the future. I fully stand behind this review and give Right Now Plumbing an across-the-board "five-star" rating."

"WaterStone did a complete remodel of our smallish master bathroom (9' by 9'). They were responsible for all aspects of the project including design, permitting, materials and construction. We had an initial budgetary estimate of 30 to 35K for what we wanted. Other companies either told us the design we wanted (which required relocating plumbing and electrical) was either infeasible or way above our budgetary estimate. Jeff came in, listened to what we wanted and gave us design options that met our needs. After a couple of iterations, we settled on a design and Jeff provided an estimate from $32K to 38K depending on our material selections. He gave us a range of material allowances that were actually reasonable. Ultimately, the contract was executed for just under 38K - no overruns!. Jeff and Deanna helped us make the material selections while keeping us within budget (we went over some allowances and under others). We did not have to make any compromises on our vision for the bathroom. The project was finished in 8 weeks vice the proposed 5 to 6 weeks due mainly to a more difficult than expected demolition and the lead time for the shower glass. Jeff (owner), Deanna (designer), Jake (project manager) and Javier (on site project lead) were personable and easy to deal with. As usual with a project of this magnitude, there were a couple of hiccups along the way. The measure of a contractor is not the issues they have but how quickly and effectively they resolve the issues and WaterStone was topnotch in that regard. Problems were addressed and fixed right away. Two stories that demonstrate why we liked working with WaterStone so much: 1) we wanted quartz countertops but bathroom vanities usually require much less than a full slab. When their normal stone supplier would only quote a full slab which was way over our budget, WaterStone called several other suppliers and found one with a remnant that would meet our needs and would not break the budget; and 2) the glass supplier raised some issues about our proposed design for the shower glass and we started down the path of an alternate, much more expensive design. When Jeff heard, he came over immediately and talked us off the ledge about our concerns with the original design, ultimately saving us from a costly design change. WaterStone designed and built a bathroom that matched our vision for the price we were quoted. We've been using the bathroom for about 6 months now with no problems or issues. The workmanship from the crafts (plumbing, electrical, tile, glass) is superb. They respected our house and minimized any disruption (we slept in our master bedroom throughout the renovation). WaterStone is a gem."

"We had a blualator pipeâ the main pipeline running into our home from outside. It began leaking and caused a sinkhole in our front yard. WSSC came out and told us the leak was coming from the pipe on our side not the water company meter. The water company gave me the report with their website for licensed companies. I reviewed it and compared it Angi list and home advisor for reviews. The Waterline Group has excellent reviews. Geary came out to inspect our home. He is professional, friendly, and the gives free quotes. Upon hiring them you will have to make a deposit. The Waterline Group does excellent work and they mark the lines between water and electricity. The Waterline Group beats the other companies by two to three thousand dollars of the other companies I had contacted and the other companies charge a fee to come out. Also, the Waterline Group noticed that when the water would be turned back on it would cause my water heater to leak. They replaced that pipe as well and quoted the price. They guarantee their work in writing. They also make sure that the water company inspector comes out to inspect the work of this magnitude before closing up the hole they have to dig. Once the inspector signs off they close the hole. Also, while the hole is opened warning tape is wrapped around so other people will avoid the area. They also take off their shoes or boots before entering the house. They rinse the porch and sidewalks after they are done with the work and clean up after themselves. I will recommend this company for this type of work every day of the week."

Plumbing questions, answered by experts

You can fix a leaking outdoor spigot by replacing the washer, tightening the bonnet, or replacing the spigot altogether. Turn off the water supply and open the spigot to see the issue. You may need to tighten the bonnet by 1/8- to 1/4-inch of a turn. You might also need to see if the washer is damaged or worn. If those fixes don’t stop the leak, you should replace the outdoor spigot. Consider a frost-proof sillcock to prevent future freezes and leaking.

Sometimes. While many traditional homes use copper, galvanized steel, PVC, acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS), and PEX, mobile homes will typically use PVC, CPVC, or PEX. These materials are more flexible, easier to work with, and handle colder temperatures.

If you can’t unscrew your bathtub drain, it could be due to stripped post threads. The best way to handle this is to pull the stopper up while turning it. Eventually, you should see a screw set that you can loosen with a flathead screwdriver to remove the bathtub drain.

You don’t need to remove sediment from your water well. Sediment in your water well is normal. The problem is when the sediment enters your water supply. In this case, look into your pump. The size and placement of your pump can lead to sediment in your water. If it’s too big, it’ll overwork and stir up the sediment at the bottom, pulling it into the pump. If it’s too low, it will pull up the sediment that’s settled at the bottom. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends annual well maintenance to check and test for cleanliness, mechanical problems, and contaminants.

While gasket-sealed PVC flanges are the type most commonly found in homes, flanges come in a range of different materials, including copper, brass, stainless steel, cast iron, and aluminum, that pros sometimes secure with glue. If this is the case in your bathroom, the replacement is a job better left to the pros.
