"If you want to work with someone condescending, rude, confrontational, unprofessional, and whose contractors workmanship is probably the worst I have ever encountered in my 30 years of working with contractors, THIS IS YOUR GUY. I can ramble on about the false promises, the horrible workmanship, the constant delays, the lack of communication, the rude and confrontational text messages. I guarantee Mr. Shank will in fact respond to this review and try to flip the script and blame it all on me somehow. He talks very poorly about all his customers well at least the ones he doesn't like. Not sure what that is based on although I do have some idea what is based on. But he never made anything explicit, so I can't make accusations that he is a racist. So I am definitely not saying he is a racist because he didn't do anything racist. But if he was a racist it would explain why he didn't give two poops about doing good work for multiple projects I provided him. I also have multiple properties and was hoping to make Mr. Shank a lifelong contractor. In a nutshell, he has done 2 projects for me at 2 properties. One was installing a threshold for a glass enclosed shower stall. His crappy sub contractor (they are not employees) despite him saying they are employees, did not install any grouting on the threshold. Fast forward 1 year, and mold is popping up all around the threshold. Rather than dealing with this individual, I hired another contractor to fix up his mess. Second job, and my second mistake, I hired him for a full scale home renovation for around 50K. That project was an absolute disaster. He took 3 months to do what he promised to me verbally would be a 3 week job. I don't really want to spend 1 hour writing down all the crap he did wrong. I'll try so sum up the highlights. Ripped out old flooring, promised to make new flooring level after installing new concrete by using lasers. New flooring is totally not level and as bumpy as walking on your local trail. The shoe moldings around the flooring look like a child installed them. I had to argue with him to get him to regrout the bathroom which was in his contract in the first place. I can go on and on. For sure if you are someone that Mr. Shank likes and match his criteria of what he likes, whatever that could be I have no idea definitely not race related. He may do a great job for you and that may explain the great reviews. I myself had a horrible experience with Mr. Shank and his group of sub contractors who just plain do terrible work. Ignore my review or take it seriously, frankly this guy will keep getting business cause he's a great salesman. Even has a LinkedIN profile to show how professional he is. Epic scammer and fraud. Stay away."

"If I could give this company a 6 out of 5 stars I would! They did a fantastic job overhauling my mother's deck, back patio, fencing, and front portico. All of the work was absolutely essential for safety and structural reasons, and I'm so glad I chose OSSA to do the work. My mother has Alzheimer's, which presented additional issues, but the entire crew was incredibly kind, respectful, and understanding of the unique challenges they faced. They were responsive and kept me aware of everything regarding the job along the way. My mother is so pleased, and I have the peace of mind that all of her outdoor space is safe, beautiful, and accessible. I will be hiring OSSA to do some work in my own home, as I look to make necessary improvements in the future. I've told everyone I know how how wonderful they are. 6 out of 5 stars!"

"My basement had mold and evidence of water damage in July/August, and I was referred to Exterior Waterproofing Experts. The majority of the mold was on the side of my house, but the salesperson made a strong pitch about the need to waterproof the front of my home by digging up the garden down to the foundation. My wife was largely convinced, so we went ahead with the $8000 project. Six months later, the insulation behind the waterproofed front of the house is sopping wet. When the salesperson came back to my home to take a look, his explanation was that the water probably came up through the floor. His words were along the lines of "99% of the time the water comes up through the front." At this point, I feel like I have an expensive solution to a problem I didn't really have."

The first time I met Syed from Stellar Remodels company, his honest response left me a deep impression. He is approachable and knowledgeable and experienced in project management. He has worked for many years in the construction field. Syed laid out the entire process very simply for us to understand. It was a very straightforward process. The price he offered was reasonable and great. The construction team led by Ainea was incredible responsive and prompt throughout the entire process. They were great getting back to us with answers to all our questions, and flexible with scheduling. The workers were always on time, nice, kind, and respectful of our home. When we had concerns or issues, they quickly resolved them with extreme professionalism and competence. They did an excellent job from many angles. The transformation has exceeded our expectations. Their work is meticulous and thorough. Their ability to get inspections and necessary permits so smoothly made the entire experience stress-free for us. After a couple of months when the job was done, and I couldn’t be happier with the final finished product which took me by surprise. The finishing product was extremely neat and professional with great attention to detail. The transformation exceeded our expectations. "Very, very disappointing experience; Lux replaced the foundation of my 1850 log cabin. The design was bad, the communication was bad, the execution was bad. Throughout the entire process, they were making mistakes. I now need to pay another company to fix the mess they left behind. I would strongly suggest not using this company!"

"Our deck caught fire last summer and we contracted Chris Heinz to do the rebuilding and replacement of our fire-damaged exterior. Chris was wonderful to work with! He worked with our insurance company tirelessly and also kept us informed every step of the way. He and his crew removed our old deck and siding, and built a new deck, a landing and stairs off our kitchen, installed a new sliding door and four windows, replaced our siding and trim, and installed new outdoor lighting. There were a few delays due to the pandemic and materials being readily unavailable from one of the manufacturers, but the timeframe was reasonable given the circumstances. Chris and his crew did an amazing job and we couldn’t be happier. We love our beautiful new deck and the new siding and trim. We get so many compliments from our neighbors and passers-by! We will definitely go to Chris next time we need work on our house and recommend him to everyone!"

"Needed to replace a 25+ year old HVAC system in the coldest months of the year, so I contacted Advanced Environment Solutions for a bid. I worked with Tammy at AES to schedule the inspection, follow-up, etc. - a fantastic employee. Courteous, professional, and really knows her stuff when it comes to HVAC. Unfortunately, I live in a condo with a tricky indoor/outdoor HVAC set-up that ended up requiring a fairly specific indoor unit that AES did not offer, so I had to go with another company. Still I felt compelled to leave a review for AES and Tammy to highlight their professionalism and service-oriented approach. WiIll absolutely consider AES for future projects."

He provided pictures of items for us to choose from and we were also able to select from his showroom. They also came back to touch up some things we wanted. They did a great job and we're really happy with the results. We would definitely hire them again in the future."
