"When I first contacted Odyssey Plumbing. The initial phone call I had with Stephen was very positive and helpful. Shortly after, Jake showed up promptly and ready to work! I showed him my new sink that I wanted replaced and he provided a very reasonable price up front! As soon as I agreed, he started immediately and did not stop until it was complete! The end results was exactly what I had hoped for and everything works perfectly! I will absolutely call this company back for any of my plumbing needs!"

"West Shore worked on three areas: 1) Shower replacement, 2) Window replacement, 3) Door replacement. 1. Shower: Paul, the master plumber, and Juan, the installer did a tremendous job. Paul let me know every detail regarding the plumbing and asked for my okay to proceed. Juan did an amazing job removing the old shower and putting in a beautiful new shower. I was impressed by the quality and timeliness of the work. They did a great job and were done in one day. 2. Window replacement: We had 6 windows replaced; 3 in the living room, 1 in the kitchen, and 2 in the upstairs master bedroom. Ryan had the lead on the windows, and although he wasn't talkative, he kept me informed all along the way and answered my questions. 3. Door replacement: We had the front door replaced. Autumn had the lead on the door and did a superb job. Her attention to detail was above and beyond and we now had a door that is both beautiful and functional. As a side note, our salesperson, Mark, helped guide us through the initial process and was always available to answer questions (even after the install). He was professional and personable and easy to work with. Thanks West Shore Home for a GREAT experience!!!"

Customers say: Quality work

"Second time I have used Tony, but still a great experience. Had a crack in my master bathroom tub. Sent Tony a pic, and he had a guy come out and repair the same day. I will continue to use Tony for all my home repair needs."

"A plumber was dispatched to diagnose my tankless water system, and the issue was resolved quickly. Pricing was fair, and the tech explained in detail the repair that was needed. I’d definitely hire them again if the need arises. Thank you!!"

Plumbing questions, answered by experts

Never pour used motor oil down the drain. Doing so can have serious environmental consequences, including contaminating groundwater, endangering animals, and killing vegetation. It can also clog your pipes, causing backups in your plumbing or the wastewater treatment plant. In most places, pouring motor oil down the drain is illegal, whether you do it in your home or a storm drain.

Yes, you can adjust your well pump pressure relatively easily by yourself. You’ll need to remove the cover from your pressure switch and adjust a nut that controls cut-in pressure. Learn more about how to adjust a well pump pressure switch with a step-by-step guide to setting your water pressure.

If there's no water coming out of the spigot, or barely any water, you might have a clogged water line. Areas with hard water are prone to this problem because the high mineral content in hard water causes build-up in pipes and water lines. This constricts the water flow and causes water to slowly trickle out, if at all.

You can often identify a freeze-proof faucet by its structure. Unlike a traditional spigot, a freeze-proof one will include a long supply pipe that extends into your home and connects several inches back to your water supply. Many freeze-proof models also have an extra valve on top of the exterior of the spigot, which is the anti-siphon feature that protects against water backflow.

You can start the process to set up utilities before closing on a new current property, but most companies won’t turn on electricity or gas until after the closing date. You’ll also need proof of ownership to get things going. The best way to do this is to contact the utility company as soon as possible and keep them up to date on the sale status. We recommend making contact one or two weeks before the closing date.
