"When I first contacted Odyssey Plumbing. The initial phone call I had with Stephen was very positive and helpful. Shortly after, Jake showed up promptly and ready to work! I showed him my new sink that I wanted replaced and he provided a very reasonable price up front! As soon as I agreed, he started immediately and did not stop until it was complete! The end results was exactly what I had hoped for and everything works perfectly! I will absolutely call this company back for any of my plumbing needs!"

Customers say: Quality work

"You can depend on Tony for fast, professional service. The kitchen faucet decided to fail in the middle of the night and we woke to water all over the counters and floor. The valves under the sink were corroded and wouldn’t turn. The freezing weather had all the plumbers occupied. I called Tony and he came right over on a Saturday and quickly replaced the valves under the sink so the leak was controlled. He came back later and replaced the faucet. Tony is prompt, professional, and thorough. And, the price was incredibly reasonable. Tony and his crew have done great jobs throughout my house with painting, flooring, roof and deck repair, and door replacement. He answers texts promptly. No worries here, you will be happy with the results and the price. Tony, thanks for supersonic service!"

Plumbing questions, answered by experts

The regulations around whether drain pipe installers need to hold licenses or certifications differ based on where you live and the type of drain pipe installed. Municipalities have varying rules and regulations about who can and can’t perform plumbing work. However, we recommend hiring a certified plumber to install or modify your drain lines. Licensed plumbers will perform a high-quality, professional installation, which translates to a lower risk of clogs and leaks in the future. Use Angi’s state licensing tool to confirm the license status of your potential plumber before hiring them to install your drain pipe.

Experts use innovative designs and techniques to maximize your space, creating the illusion of size while enhancing functionality.

You can try several easy methods to unclog a drain, one of the easiest and most effective of which is to use a mixture of baking soda and vinegar. This will help dislodge and dissolve the clog to move it down the drain pipes. Pour 1/2 cup baking soda into the drain, followed by 1/2 cup of white vinegar. Dump several cups of boiling water (or hot water if you have PVC pipes) into the drain and let sit for up to one hour. Run hot water to clear the drain.

Yes, even though frost-free and freeze-proof faucets are designed to withstand winter weather, it is still recommended to cover them with an insulated cap, especially during periods of extreme cold. These faucets work by keeping excess water inside the home's heated space and using a downward slope to drain, but this protection can be compromised. For the faucet to work correctly, you must always disconnect any attached hoses before temperatures drop below freezing, as a hose can trap water and lead to freezing. Ultimately, covering all outdoor faucets, even freeze-proof models, is the best way to prevent frozen and burst pipes.

The hot and cold water hookups are the two pipes at the back of the washing machine. In many homes, independent taps turn on or off and are usually located directly behind the washing machine. If they aren’t there, try looking inside a cupboard or closet. If you plan on unhooking either pipe, make sure the water is shut completely off and have towels nearby, as there’s still water stored in the pipes.
