"I think they treated the wrong lawn. The note they sent me via text message referenced trees and shrubs in my yard, I have none. They also did not leave a yard marker showing they had been there. Otherwise, this would have been a 5 star review."

"Henry was the first to call for last minute move out deep clean job request. He came prepared with everything he needed to get the job done. He didn’t overlook anything… Everything was spotless, including baseboards, window, windows, coverings, cupboards inside and out and kitchen and appliances inside and out bathrooms, thoroughly sanitized, etc.. would highly recommend. After receiving many calls afterwards, he still came in at the lowest price :)"

"Kenneth Langley and his crew did a wonderful job completely clearing my massively overgrown yard. It was a huge job but they worked tirelessly to get it all done in one day. I was so impressed that I had Kenneth come back to complete landscaping in front yard, including laying mulch and a stone border around my front flower beds. Next, he pressure washed my house, back patio and driveway. I was impressed with the attention to detail demonstrated by Langley Lawn & Tree Service in every task they completed. The work was very well done, completed timely and Kenneth was always responsive to my questions. I am continuing to use Langley Lawn & Tree service for regular lawn maintenance.

"Work was top notch. We have had lots of rain since then, and our yard dries out perfectly! The guys were friendly and professional, punctual, and made sure we were 100% pleased before they left. They have checked back with me, making sure everything was good and we were pleased. Have already recommended to lots of people, and will use them again in the future for other jobs!"

Lawns questions, answered by experts

In the fall, you should aerate the soil, overseed the bare spots, kill weeds, mow the lawn low, and rake your leaves. By boosting your lawn’s health in the fall, your grass will be stronger throughout the winter and come back healthier in the spring. You should also trim your perennials so that they withstand the winter and are ready for new growth in the spring.

While leaves won’t fully decompose over winter, they will still continue to decompose, just more slowly than usual.

For minor unevenness, you don't necessarily need to remove grass before leveling. You can apply a topdressing mixture to fill in low areas and even out the surface. However, for more significant unevenness or deep depressions, it might be necessary to temporarily remove the grass to ensure proper leveling and soil compaction. After filling and leveling, you can replace the grass or consider reseeding the area.

Yes, rotting leaves can be good for your soil. The decaying leaves release nutrients into the soil that can boost the health of your plants, and the organic matter also helps improve airflow and water drainage.

Your neighbor is not in a good position to know if your trees are truly dead or pose any kind of danger. That’s why hiring an arborist or tree service expert can be such an important part of the process. If the trees are still alive and don’t pose any threat, you’re in the clear (but you may want to document and photograph everything in case events turn sour down the road).

But if a tree is visibly dead and near the property line, you should remove it to be safe. If a dead tree falls on a neighbor’s property, they may have grounds to sue for negligence. If any branches on trees have died, it’s a good idea to cut them back for similar reasons.
