"Troy and the entire installation team were excellent! Arrived on time and started working immediately. Communication was very good and their work ethic was outstanding! They made sure our furniture was moved safely - tarps were placed from door to door to protect our floors - they made a special effort to keep the wife informed and allowed her to place the various components (grab bars, compartments, etc) so there would be no angst at the end. Cleaned up their work areas (inside and out) and hauled away old tub and panels) - made sure both of us understood the mechanics of the equipment and allowed me one extra day before signing off on the project for some antagonistic testing. I feel this team demonstrated everything that the salesman promised and more which is rarely the case. Well done gentleman!"

Plumbing questions, answered by experts

Canton properties frequently sit on expansive clay soils that shift and stress underground pipes. Account for this movement by requesting flexible pipe materials. You must also consider local water quality, as elevated hardness and iron require proper material selection to protect your fixtures. For rural properties, respect the mandatory separation distances between septic systems and private water wells when adding new exterior plumbing.

Helpful?

Most homes in this area feature slab-on-grade construction. Repairing a concrete foundation for under-slab plumbing directly impacts your tile and flooring. If your property relies on a septic system, adding new fixtures alters the system capacity and requires an evaluation. Additionally, modifying pipes near gas appliances demands coordination with licensed professionals. Always evaluate your flooring and septic capacity before starting a project in TX.

Helpful?

In Canton, heavy clay soils cause foundation movement that easily mimics plumbing issues like yard leaks or uneven water pressure. During summer, clogged HVAC condensate lines often create interior wet spots that look exactly like pipe leaks. If you notice discolored water, older cast iron pipes are a frequent culprit. Always inspect your foundation and HVAC systems before assuming you need plumbing repairs.

Helpful?

Start by scheduling your plumbing projects around local events like First Monday Trade Days, as contractor availability drops significantly during these times. You must also locate and test your main water shutoff valve before work begins. Always hire licensed professionals to ensure compliance with TX regulations and secure the proper permits. Plan non-emergency projects for spring or fall to avoid winter freeze delays.

Helpful?

Homeowners frequently underestimate the extensive flooring restoration required after breaking concrete for under-slab plumbing. Many also overlook the severe capacity loss in water heaters caused by hard water scale buildup in TX. When planning exterior work, always include proper pipe insulation to protect against hard winter freezes. Anticipate longer permit processing times from local offices, and always verify your contractor holds an active license.
