"The team at Re-bath was awesome. They were intereste in our needs and with mine and our daughter sleep schedule. They also keeped us involved on when our remodeling would begin. Carson our salesman was awesome answering all our questions. Steven our plumber and Josh the installer did a great job. "My master bathroom was completely gutted and remodeled by John. He added a second sink, fabricated and installed my custom quartz vanity top, toilet, vanity, lots of custom tile work and increased our shower to a large walk in. Everything went great and the work was finished on time. John shows up on time every day and even puts in extra time on weekends to keep project on time."

Kitchen and Bathroom Remodel questions, answered by experts

While most modern sinks, toilets, and showers last up to 20 years or more with no issues, experts suggest a bathroom remodel should take place at least once a decade. Otherwise, your bathroom might start to look dated. However, the frequency depends on a few different factors, including the quality of the original materials, how well the space has been maintained, and your personal preferences. Signs it’s time for a refresh include outdated fixtures, worn surfaces, poor functionality, or simply wanting to update the look.

They recommend sustainable materials and water-saving fixtures, tailoring choices to balance sustainability and style.

Whether converting a tub to a shower is worth it depends on your personal circumstances and priorities. For many, a shower is a safer option that reduces the risk of slip-and-fall accidents, making it a valuable upgrade. It can also be a worthwhile conversion if a shower is more practical for your lifestyle and you rarely use the tub. However, there are potential downsides to consider. The cost, which can range from $1,200 to $8,000, can be a deterrent. Additionally, if you have young children, a bathtub is often easier for bathing them. Finally, removing the only bathtub in a home can potentially lower its resale value in the eyes of some buyers.

Major changes like electrical, plumbing, or structural work generally require permits. Check local regulations.

Yes, you can add a bathroom to an unfinished basement, but you’ll want to take proper precautions if doing so. As with any bathroom addition, you’ll need to make sure that it’s approved by local building authorities first. With unfinished basements, you especially need to keep an eye on proper ventilation practices.
