Affordable Remodeling by John

John has done several remodels for us over the years (Master Bath, Guest bath, and kitchen in our previous home). I brought him in to finish out a bonus room in our new home, and it turned out perfect! He has great attention to detail, and does the job right the first time. I will continue to use John as we find new projects.

John is excellent. He spent a lot of time with us at our home over the last 8 months. He is meticulous, works very clean, and is respectful in keeping his tools and materials organized so we can still live life in our home during a major renovation. With 2 kids and a dog, it was not easy to do, but he was great about not interrupting life for us. He has an attention to detail that is hard to find and always made sure the job was done to our specifications. If something was concerning to him, he let us know. John also sourced materials for us that weren't as expensive as we would have paid on our own. His tile work is beautiful and painting is on point. He is a problem solver and super resourceful. I am incredibly pleased to call this house home now!!! I would recommend John to anyone!

We hired John to remodel our kitchen (remove a center island range, installed a new range and exhaust hood on the wall, shave down the bar area to single level, removing the existing stone counters and back splash and replace both, and have a few custom cabinets built and installed). The project could have been done faster had we hired a “full crew” but we wanted to limit the number of people coming into our house during Covid. Further, John came highly recommended from a friend who commented on his attention to detail and cleanliness. Each morning, John “walled off” the area he was working on and cleaned up as he worked. There was never a huge mess (which we really appreciated ). His cost estimate was competitive and the final amount didn't change (other than a few additional requests on our end). The kitchen looks great. We'd recommend John to others.

Excellent Job as always! John is crucial to upkeep and remodel our 1980's house. This time he did pressure washing and I couldn't believe how great the house could look, looks new again. Plus, we had an assortment of necessary repairs involving gutters and soffit, pocket door repair, etc. I was really impressed with the beautiful job on my new master bathroom door which required a larger opening, new trim, new door. I've used John several times in the last few years as we update our house and he does a beautiful job, works efficiently, and is professional in planning and performing his work. Plan to schedule him again soon!

John was an excellent contractor to have for our project. He communicated every day on project status, arrival and departure times, and cleaned up after himself daily. That was a tremendous help with our two toddlers running around. John did a fantastic job on our bathroom remodel and updating our kitchen. I will definitely hire him again!

Everything went well and I am very pleased with the final product. John is easy to work with; he is conscientious and able to do most of the work himself. His work is top notch. I look forward to working with him on future projects.

Our home flooded and John did all of the rehab work. All of the wood trim doors and painting had to be removed and replaced. Johns woodworking is excellent. This included doing several walls of wood shiplap. The trim and paint are top notch. He even ensures all the nail holes are filed and sanded to perfection.

After our house flooded the entire first floor had to have the tile removed and replaced. John scheduled and oversaw the demo work to have 1400 sqft of tile removed. He then personally handled the leveling and install himself. We had large wood like tiles installed and John did a meticulous job of installing them to look exactly like wood flooring. The tile pattern and work are perfect. Though the work can often be messy, John carefully took care to minimize the dust and kept the site clean and professional the whole time.

Kitchen was a full remodel. John facilitated custom cabinets and handled the paint and install. Full wall subway tiles, changed the layout and installed the sink, faucet, all appliances including new range hood. John also handled all of the Sheetrock work which involved moving several light fixtures and installed ceiling pot lighting. Converted us to gas cooktop. John has excellent tile skills. Always keeps the worksite neat and clean and finishes on time.

My master bathroom was completely gutted and remodeled by John. He added a second sink, fabricated and installed my custom quartz vanity top, toilet, vanity, lots of custom tile work and increased our shower to a large walk in. Everything went great and the work was finished on time. John shows up on time every day and even puts in extra time on weekends to keep project on time.

John did such a terrific job remodeling our entire upstairs bathroom. Top to bottom, plumbing, electrical, Sheetrock; He was very helpful throughout the process pointing out small details I surely would have missed or never thought of. He communicated throughout the entire process, was on time everyday, and finished the job on time.

John showed up when he said he would. He always returned phone calls. He did really good work for a very good price. I will definitely be using him again.

John was honest about when he would be able to get to our job and kept me informed while we waited on his availability. The works was done quickly and done well. I finally found my go to guy for my house repairs! Yeah!

Phase 1: John was involved from day one including supervising remediation process, complete tear out of sheetrock for three car plus garage all of laundry room and entrance, complete master bedroom gut and removal of tile flooring ,complete gut of master bath including all tile flooring and all fixtures, complete master closet tear out. Phase 2: complete sheetrock and painting of all areas coordinated ordering of all fixtures, cabinets, doors, windows and hardware for all damaged areas, redesigned master bath. Phase 3: Installed all new cabinets in laundry, garage master bath ,master bedroom, installed all new appliances in garage and laundry, installed all new hardware on all cabinets, installed new toilet, tub and fixtures in master bath, completely redesigned and built new glass shower, installed new mirrors and lighting in master bath, installed new ceiling fans in garage, master bedroom and master bath installed all new quartz countertops. Still have work on going as of this review and new projects being added.

John did an awesome job on our kitchen remodel! One of the reasons we chose him is that he is local and does most of the work himself. It took right at 3 weeks, and John’s attention to detail is impressive. He was also able to direct us to his suppliers to choose the granite, tile, and fixtures which was very helpful. We absolutely love our new kitchen! John will be doing our Master Bath remodel in a few weeks, and we can’t wait!
