"I am so happy and pleased that I chose SJ Restorations; not only did he deliver, he was also very easy to communicate with. I had initially had flooring done by a different contractor that hadn't done a good job but Rich even over the phone told me that he could take care of my problem areas. We made an appointment for him to do his assessment, he gave me the time frame of expected completion which was just a couple of days and was done before that. He even went beyond what he was requested to do to let me know about other services needed at which he could provide. I will definitely use SJ Restorations in the future and would refer others to do the same."

"Stay far away from this company. Original project went fine although it was expensive. However the past few months have shown me their true colors as I have tried to get some of the original work fixed. Be aware that they only warranty work for 12 months. We had the only four tiles on the step into our shower crack over the first year and I tried for months to contact them through email. No response. I finally left my name as a new customer, and they immediately called me (funny :)). They then asked for pictures and said they could fix it. I then discovered it would cost $600 to replace the four tiles they obviously installed incorrectly the first time. Correctly installed tiles would not all crack on the outer edge."

"I am writing to express my growing concerns about the status of the residential project for which we entered into a contract on September 7th, 2023. As per the agreed-upon terms, the project encompasses the conversion of the attic into a livable space, addition of HVAC systems, installation of a staircase, and the replacement of the first floor's flooring. The contractual value stands at $75,000, with a payment plan that was diligently adhered to on our part. Initially, our engagement was marked by your professionalism and courtesy. However, I regret to note a significant shift in the quality of service following the second payment installment. The decline in responsiveness, unexplained delays, and instances where no work crew appeared on-site have been disconcerting. Despite our commitment to fulfilling all financial obligations as per the stipulated schedule, we find ourselves two months behind the agreed-upon completion date. Approximately 25% to 30% of the project remains incomplete, and the lack of progress is causing considerable concern. Of particular distress is the sudden cessation of communication on your part when only the final 5% payment remained. This has left us in an untenable position, questioning the integrity of the ongoing project and raising doubts about its successful completion. I must express that the current situation is deeply troubling, and it gives rise to concerns of potential malfeasance. The request for the remaining funds before resuming work on the project further compounds our unease. In light of the foregoing, I am left with no choice but to seek clarity on the status of the project, a detailed explanation for the delays, and a clear plan for its prompt and satisfactory completion. I believe it is only fair to withhold the final payment until such time that these concerns are adequately addressed."

"Having heard about H Towne and Around from a couple of Facebook groups, we reached out to JR initially to renovate our garage interior. While they were completing the project we enquired about extensive renovations on the house. This would include removing half of a double staircase, building a second floor office into the entranceway and splitting an existing Jack and Jill bathroom into two new ones. JR was easy to get along with, very pragmatic from the get-go and great at explaining pros & cons of various layouts. He also helped us organize the project into convenient phases, allowing us space to live in while other areas were under construction. JR’s team, which included Chemo, Mitchel & William (and many more) were excellent to work with. All of them were highly skilled, experienced, hard-working and good humored guys. The team were very professional, cleaning up each day and screening off sections of the house so family life could continue somewhat normally. (This Mom of two little ones and a dog sure appreciated that!). It was a joy to watch the craftmanship unfold: bespoke cabinetry, herringbone wood floors, precision tiling, floating vanities, wooden accent walls and new purpose-built spaces created. They took on board all our ideas and gave us the house we dreamed of. Cannot thank you all enough and we would highly recommend anyone to work with HTowne and Around!"

"Absolutely AMAZING! The owner of the company is Julio Barron. He arrived on time and from the first moment he listened to what I have in mind and I finished, he walked me through his suggestions. He suggested the wifi lighting connected to my phone, and also without asking he came with detail-oriented little things to match my bathroom decoration to the project. He guided my husband to different places for quality and affordable prices to pick materials. He told me the job would take approximately no more than six and a half weeks and he finished in five! In general, very HONEST from the beginning. He asked me how much was my budget and he helped us to work with it. The final job is OUTSTANDING! and 100% recommendation for him and his whole crew! by the way, now they do my plumbing, and my roofing, and for sure next year they will be hired to remodeling my whole kitchen! "I had a deeply disappointing experience with this company during a recent remodeling project at my parents' home. While some aspects of the work were satisfactory, several significant issues remain unresolved: Poor Quality and Incomplete Work: Many areas were left unfinished or poorly executed, despite multiple walkthroughs and follow-up communications. Unprofessional Behavior: The team brought children to the job site without approval, disrupting the work environment. Lack of Cleanup: Dust and debris were left throughout our home after the work was "completed." Missing Documentation: We’ve repeatedly requested an itemized receipt and proof of worker licenses, but these have not been provided. They turned off our gas on a Friday and refused to come back to turn it on until Monday. We notified them of this on a Friday, and it should have been rectified. Terrible Communication: Emails, texts, and calls have gone unanswered, leaving us frustrated and without resolution. Additionally, we were bullied into signing off on completion of work (by Sapir) with the promise they would return to complete the issues that were pointed out. They never returned or communicated further with us despite reaching out on various occasions. I cannot recommend this company due to their lack of professionalism, poor communication, and failure to meet basic standards of quality and accountability."

Their sub-contractors are top-notch and professional and David Summers oversees all work constantly. they do not cut corners and if they run into a problem they FIX IT and do not ignore it or work around it. They are also known for cleaning up the work area every day."
