Home Front RenovationsProject was done to work with our schedule which was very helpful. Home Front team was responsive and took care of any items that came up without delay. They assist to solve any problems and Roman was great. He did almost out entire remodel and had worked on our previous remodel of kitchen and master bath. We highly recommend Roman. Bath ExpoEddie Cox came out and fixed us up quickly. Eddie was on the crew that did the remodel about 5 years ago. We had the hot tub removed and nice large shower put in its place. The old shower became a linen closet. Oh yes a new vanity with useful storage was put in. We love the bathroom! The service after the install has been Super!- John T.

The team was professional, prompt, reasonably priced and did a fantastic job creating a class spa life bathroom for us with all new flooring, lighting, vanities, a soaking tub and new walk in glass enclosed shower. Alan always wanted to know what they could do to make sure we were totally satisfied and quickly addressed any additions, issues or last minute changes we came up with. Whats Next Remodeling LLCLIFE SAVER! Alan is a blessing. We JUST finished a kitchen & laundry remodel with Alan and his team literally 3 weeks prior to the winter storm hitting in the Dallas-Ft. Worth area (you can see my wife, Kasi's review). Unfortunately, we had multiple pipes burst due to them freezing. Our kitchen and upstairs bathroom flooded & I mean FLOODED. My wife and I felt a panic like we've never felt before. Not sure of who to call, my wife called Alan for a suggestion. Alan showed up within the HOUR to help! I can't tell you how thankful we were to have him. He didn't do it to attract more business. He knew that we were struggling and offered to help. He and his team braved the dangerous roads, came over during their off time and fixed the pipes, dried the floors and cabinets and resealed the walls! We are MILES ahead of the many unfortunate people who had to deal with the weather simply because Alan cares about you and your family. If you don't have a family or all you care about is timing of a project? Great. He is prompt and on the spot when it comes to longevity of projects. Empire General Contracting of Texas, LLCThis is the second kitchen I have had renovated using The Empire of Tile and Granite. I was referred to them by my mom who also used them for a kitchen reno. For this kitchen, we moved a cook top from the island to a wall and put in a recirculating vent hood. We took down a pantry wall. We moved some electrical. We had two sinks installed. We moved our washer dryer hookups. We had floors, cabinets, countertops replaced. The whole shebang. Carlos Castro is very helpful. He came to my house months before I was ready to begin work to give me some idea of cost for the various things I was considering, so I knew which cooktop and vent would work for my project. He brought me cabinet samples to my house (purchased on his own dime). The contract is very clear and reasonable. A+ all around, though I gave a B for price simply because, though it is fair, it won't be the lowest quote you receive, in my experience. His team is professional and very skilled and he has multiple 'foremen' who can help with project discussion, guidance, and issues on days when Carlos can't be onsite - though he makes an effort to be there every day during critical work and at least once a week otherwise. As with any project, keep track of changes. They do add up - but Carlos is very open and honest with those prices as things come up and often gave me ideas to reduce or maximize value for any additional costs.- Cailin S.

The sales rep was very good. He followed through with everything and really help choose the right color and find the best quality and fit for our application. The installers worked very quickly, they were thorough and cleaned up very well. They even found where there were additional work needed(old tiles under old carpet) and they contacted us and worked with us to get that taken care of as well.

I received an estimate for 835.00 With the company name of Valor flooring. Mr. Saladion stated that it would take 7 bags of floor lever in addition to the leveler that I had already placed on the floor. Flooring in stall 450.00 Floor prep 7 bags 385.00. He saw the baseboards and quarter round I had and asked if I wanted them installed also and I said yes. I asked the priced and he stated that it was included in the price. On the morning of the job he looked at the floor and began to hit it with a hammer saying the layer I had put on was too thin and that it would break off. He kept hitting it but it would not break until he used great force making a hole in the lever. He continued to hammer making a bigger hole then taking a picture of it. He stated that bit would be needed to be scraped off and did which he did not do. I saw them bring in Three bags of Henry Unipro Patch and Skim Coat, two boxes of Henry Feather Finish and two bottles of primer. From what I saw he would mix 1/2 bags at a time and trowel it on the floor. I did not see any leveler being used. At the end of the job I got an invoice with the company name of Gulf Coast Flooring. Labor tongue and grove master bedroom 450.00, Floor prep 440.00, Baseboards and quarter round 100.00, primer 30.00. He sates that he used eight bags of floor lever. I found three empty bags in the trash and he had two full bags in the back of his truck alone with one box of feather finish. When I confronted Mr. Saladion asking to see the empty bags, he stated that he had threw the bags in the trash. We retrieved the three empty bags from the trash and states the other bags were in his truck under his tools. He eventually opened the rear of the truck and you could see the two bags of Henry. He states "I got other jobs" and one bag contained rocks. He billed me for base board install which he told me that it was included. Poor job for baseboard install and flooring still has high and low spots. I would not use him again and in this case was not trustworthy. I cannot recommend him.

Homero came to my house as scheduled on June 30th to inspect the project that I needed done. A good amount of time was spent discussing the 3 jobs with Homero, and he took measurements of the areas. He led me to believe that he would be providing a written quotation for the work. Two days later, I called Ted's Floor & Decor to make sure that he had my email address. I left the email address over the phone with Homero 's associate. The next day, Homero called me claiming he was trying to send the quotation but stated he was using the email address that Angie's List had for me which had the “.com” cutoff. I ask him did his associate give him my email address that I left for him the previous day. Also, I emailed my email address to him after I spoke to him on the phone. He responded by email with a comment. As of August 12th, no written quotation received. He took up a lot of my time when he came to my house. He should have just sent a message stating that his store was not interested in quoting.

Couldn't possibly be happier with this crew. I had met with a few contractors on my flooring project, and nothing quite felt like a fit until Paul came out to have a look. It was a night/day difference from the rest. He knew what he was looking at and knew exactly what to recommend. His experience was obvious and hired him on the spot. Theirs is a family biz and all are great. Knowledgeable, efficient, fair, and conscientious -- they took extra time to make sure details I probably would have missed were done perfectly.
