"We have a basement bathroom with a floor drain that backs up when the shower is used. Both the toilets in this old house were getting tempermental, too, so it was time to call a plumber. I'd never used a plumber in this area before, so I went to Angie's list for a recommendation. I liked what I saw under Grumpy's Drains  business description, so I called. A friendly woman made an appointment for me for the very next day, explained their flat rates (which I liked), and asked if the plumber could come early if he finished the job scheduled ahead of mine early. I said sure.
   Well, Keith called me the next morning, and ended up coming an hour early, which was great. He and his helper, Dan, were friendly and helpful, and got right to work. They had all four drains cleared in no time, ran lots of water to test them, and then Keith explained to me how to avoid problems in the future. All of his suggestions were relatively inexpensive things I can realistically do, and I will.  The whole thing was quick, clean and DONE, taking only about 20 minutes start to finish, and on top of that, Keith ended up charging me for only two of the four drains he cleared.
So, to recap:
The appointment was made easily and I didn't have to wait.
He came early, did the job quickly and efficiently, was friendly, helpful and clean, and left me a more educated consumer.
He charged me LESS than I had agreed to pay.
I had put off having this done for so long, worried that it was going to be expensive to handle, and now I feel pretty silly about that, but I also feel pretty happy to have found such a good plumber.

"Simpson Plumbing was great to work with. After discovering a large leak in our basement ceiling late last night, I quickly turned off the main water valve for our house and started ripping down soaking wet sheetrock. We discovered the source of the leak?our upstairs bathtub. I called Simpson first thing in the morning, and they immediately set me up with an appointment today between 3 and 5pm. Dale arrived promptly at 3pm and helped me discover the source of the leak. He spent about an hour at our house, and by the time he left, the leak had been fixed and my wife and I had running water again. We're really relieved that it was a quick and fairly easy fix. Much thanks to the Simpson team for helping us out so promptly. UPDATE: Well, it turned out that the leak wasn't entirely fixed, as we found a small pool of water on the floor the next morning. I called Simpson back, and they said Dale would stop by later that afternoon, which he did. He ended up needing to replace a piece of the drain pipe which took about an hour, but the leak is now 100% fixed. Dale waived the service fee for the return visit (only charging for the parts and a little labor) which I appreciated."

"They did a very good job, and they were careful not to damage siding or surrounding landscaping.   Cleaned up the work area each day, and upon completion left the area looking better than before the work started.   The best part -- no more leaking water in our basement.   I waited to write this review until we had been through a couple period of heavy rain.   Thanks Q!
