"All Seal did a great job. They were prompt with their estimate, gave me several options to complete striping for a pickleball court on our driveway, gave us explicit instructions on how to prepare our driveway for their crew, came when they said they would and did a quality job and on time. Excellent work!"

"The staff was always prompt, stayed all day and always cleaned up the street outside our home each day. They moved in a lot of gravel and sand, plus the pavers so there was material stored out front, but Forest was always diligent about not creating a mess for neighbors to see. We really appreciated that. The backyard turned out great. Just what we had wanted. We are very happy with their work. They took care of contacting all the "subs" and have their own nursery so they even provided the plants."

"We hired G to replace our asphalt driveway with a concrete one. The work was done expertly and quickly, even when unexpected problems cropped up (unannounced street paving by the City during the project.) G is very detail-oriented: he planned the drainage for our new driveway so well that it's currently shrugging off a deluge, and he incorporated those drainage elements into the design of the driveway so it looks elegant. I didn't even know driveways could look elegant! The team, led by G's brother Diego, also replaced some buckled asphalt in the connecting area of the shoulder so the approach is smooth and will also drain well. They took a great deal of care not to damage anything while removing the old driveway, and even installed a piece of cedar to protect our deck planking where it abuts the driveway! The new driveway looks wonderful, and went in amazingly fast and smoothly. G gave us a great price and went above and beyond the quote to make sure our driveway is perfect. We would definitely go to him again for any concrete project, and recommend him to all our friends and neighbors."

"George and his team are extremely easy to work with. The estimated cost & time were accurate and the finished project exceeded my expectations. I couldn't be happier with the additional driveway they built for my new camper van. I highly recommend George and his team."

"Many of my neighbors use this company.  They have a very creative pricing method, which is basically $2 a minute.  You can contract for various minutes per visit and the visits can be weekly, monthly, biweekly, etc.  You have to commit to a full year of service.
They are certainly efficient!  Three guys show up in a truck.  One has a blower, one has a rake, one has clippers or lawn mower or whatever.  They blitz the front yard and leave it looking fantastic.  Amazing transformation in just 10 minutes!  Certainly cuts down the weekend drudgery for me.
My only criticism is that the work seems all cosmetic.  I have some plants that got really mushy and black over the winter, and the wilted black lump is STILL in the flower bed.  There is moss growing down the center of the driveway that is relatively slippery, and it's still there after four months.  I also don't have a lawn.  I asked them a couple of times if they would go down the side strip next to the garage (where a lot of leaves accumulate on the steps) but I never got an answer.  I emailed them twice with the same question, but the leaves are still piled up.  I would think "yard maintenance" would include removal of dead plants.

Asphalt Driveways questions, answered by experts

Common alternatives to a gravel driveway include concrete, asphalt, brick, stone pavers, and permeable pavers. Concrete and asphalt are generally the most affordable options. However, concrete can be prone to cracking in cold climates, while asphalt may soften in areas with high heat and direct sun exposure. For enhanced curb appeal, brick, stone, and permeable pavers are popular choices, though their installation can be more expensive due to intricate designs. Stone pavers offer a natural look and are sometimes installed with gravel around them. Both permeable pavers and brick driveways provide excellent drainage, which helps prevent flooding and reduce water runoff.

Depending on project size, typically 1 to 3 days, including preparation and installation.

The dimensions of a driveway apron vary based on local building codes, the width of your driveway, and the distance between the driveway and the road. On average, aprons range from 12 to 24 feet wide and 8 to 18 feet long. Typically, the end of the apron connected to the driveway matches its width—such as 10 to 12 feet for a single-car driveway—while the end at the street flares out to allow cars to turn in and out more easily. In some areas, you may not be responsible for the portion of the apron that extends beyond the sidewalk, but this depends on local laws.

Professionals ensure a solid base and smooth finish, enhancing durability and appearance.

New asphalt typically needs 24 to 72 hours to dry before it can handle light foot traffic and careful driving. Although it may appear solid after a few days, the full curing process, where the asphalt reaches its peak strength, takes much longer—generally from 30 days to a year.

During this extended curing time, the surface remains relatively soft and can be damaged by heavy vehicles, sharp objects, or high temperatures. To protect your investment, it's best to avoid parking heavy machinery on the asphalt until it has fully cured.

The exact time required for drying and curing depends on several factors, including the weather, the specific asphalt mix, and its thickness. For the most accurate advice tailored to your situation, consult with your asphalt contractor.
