It was a free estimate. They came at the exact time they said and the day. While they were talking to me at the house, they were very professional.

They did a good job. They did it right and were more concerned about doing things the right way. The price okay, but it could have been a little lower.

It went well. We are planning on getting other opinions as well. It's a major job so we want to get several views on how to handle it.

The gentleman was nice and professional but I don't think he even remembered until halfway through that I paid for an inspection and that he was just doing an estimate. It wasn't worth it and I figured there's a way to pay for a better estimate.

My experience turned out fine. They seemed very thorough and they were very low key. There was no pressure to do any additional services. I thought they did a good job.

It went great. They came before I left for a few days and finished ahead of schedule. I had a small concern about the noise when the water was pumped out. They came immediately and changed the slope of the exit pipe.

I was satisfied with the appointment set up, etc. but when the time of appointment, two people showed up, a man and a woman. They knocked on the door and said they were going to walk around the house first on the outside. It was a very cold, rainy day and it was muddy around the house in some places.
When they came in, they did not bother to take off their shoes and because my crawl space is in the back of my house, in a bedroom closet, they drug dirt throughout the house. Then the young man proceeded to go under the house. He took his shoes off then and put on a coverall. He did not put anything down to keep the carpet or protect my clothing in closet. I was glad I had put down a small rug by crawl space entrance. When he came out,, he put back on his dirty shoes and proceeded to walk back through the house, and in the kitchen to write up an estimate.
I did not feel his price was reasonable and would not use them.

He was very nice and very knowledgeable. On time and professional, and I would recommend them. I did not receive the mailing that he promised he would send after completing the inspection.

They did a very good job, and they were careful not to damage siding or surrounding landscaping. Cleaned up the work area each day, and upon completion left the area looking better than before the work started. The best part -- no more leaking water in our basement. I waited to write this review until we had been through a couple period of heavy rain. Thanks Q!

Ethereal Elements provided exceptional, professional and quality work repairing my basement wall leak. Dealing with Q was very easy, he is personable and to the point. Dale, who performed the work knew exactly what he was doing, he was quality oriented from start to finish. The work was completed on 4 October, I held off writing this feedback in hopes we would have a couple of extreme downpours so I could verify the basement would not leak. Q guaranteed the basement would not leak again, or they would come out and fix it. The cost of this job was reasonable and I was able to use the discount coupon. I would hire Ethereal Elements again.
Response from Ethereal Elements
"Thank you for your review, we really enjoyed working with you to solve your leaking issues. We are looking forward to working with you on the new deck when you are ready."

I had to repeat my address to her 4 times. The communication wasn't as good as I would have hoped. Once they were able to work the communication out, the work was fine. They helped to identify issues, but they weren't foundation issues, so I had to hire another contractor.

"Thank you for your purchase I am glad I was able to help you out."

Company is very knowledgeable (the how to's and materials to be used)about all they inspected including state/county laws governing these systems ie. what excavators are to do to insure dry foundations and basements. This company has general contractor experience and background education for general contracting so several areas get checked very thoroughly.

Okay. very pleasant providers with reasonable price. But,I would suggest buyers need to clearly spell out what needed to be done and they could do it with that price. Other wise waste of money.

Q put together a report for us so we could have it on hand for later, if needed. He was very honest and told me that "if it were his home, he wouldn't consider it an emergency". But he did say to keep an eye on things. I really appreciated his honesty...I'm so used to everyone digging into my pockets for money...but not Q. I will call him when/if needed.

After inspecting our foundation earlier, Q determined that we needed a sump pump (which we suspected). His quote was reasonable compared to others we had heard about, so we went ahead with it.
His team of three guys worked hard for two days digging drainage trenches and installing the pump in a couple of feet of standing water. We then had to wait about a week for the water to pump out and to dry out so a new vapor barrier and gravel could be added. This was done during a cold winter where it took longer for the area to thaw and dry out so the delay was kind of a bummer, but not at all Ethereal's fault.
When they returned, they were able to finish up in one day (so three days of work total) and cleaned up after themselves very well. The guys were pleasant and happy to answer questions during the work and Q was careful to follow up and check on the work. All in all a great group to work with as long as you're realistic about the work necessary and time involved.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It went okay. I wasn't overly thrilled. I had to keep calling them back to set up an appointment. He kept apologizing but I still had to keep calling them back. I wasn't impressed at all. I called the first time and left a message. I never heard from them so I called again. He said he would call back because they were very busy but he never called back. I used another company so they lost a customer and any referrals I would have made. He did tell me what needed to be done, which I appreciated, but I didn't like jumping through the hoops to get him to respond. I have found that I really didn't need to pay him $49 because any company would have come out to give me an assessment.
Response from Ethereal Elements
"I am sorry your experience didn't go the way you expected. In all fairness, I received an overwhelming response to my "Big Deal", and tried to perform all inspections in a reasonable time, and did all my onsite consultations as I committed to. However, I tried to do the estimates in the order of which people purchased there "Big Deal" unfortunately you were not one of the first. I did however, after several of your calls I realized you had some urgency, then bumped you up so you would have your sooner. I also have never claimed to be the cheapest, because I take a greater deal of care it performing my work than most any other contractor. I usually tell people up front of this so as not to waste anyone's time, sorry if I forgot to tell you. I also run a small company to keep quality control, so that all the people working with me are thoroughly trained to meet my higher expectations. I would like to thank you for your constructive criticism, I am not perfect but will continue to try and continue to improve, your comments have sparked a few ideas that will help prevent another potential client from reconsidering me."

I decided to do the minimum necessary myself. It was a lot of work. If I were planning to live in the home I would have gone with the full package of repairs.

Everything went well. Arrived on time, performed the inspection and reported that we had a sturdy foundation; a few minor cracks but nothing that needed to be addressed. No leaking or water damage discovered. This professional business man was sincere and caring and did not recommend unnecessary work or turn this Angie's List "Big Deal" into a bigger deal! I recommend Ethereal highly to anyone in need of his expertise! If the need arises, we will certainly seek out the assistance of Ethereal Elements again!
