"Stellar Construction did a fantastic job--we are so happy we selected them from the companies we had give us bids. The final project is amazing--we literally look at it through our sliders all the time! James and Kameron worked from morning until dusk through rain and cold and left a clean job site each day. One of the many things we really appreciated was how James would listen to what we wanted, ask us questions to clarify, give us suggestions based on his experience, etc. They displayed an evident pride in their work and a genuine desire to deliver what we wanted. And they did! We highly recommend Stellar Construction and will hire them for any other home improvement project we have in the future."

"I had hope to use Joshua to pressure wash and stain my deck but once he looked at it, he was honest enough to give me the bad news that my decking was in need of being completely replaced (25 years old). I just didn't want to spend that amount of money right now. In speaking with him over the phone, he seemed very knowledgeable and I felt he would do a great job for me. I felt bad that it wasn't just a simple pressure washing and stain job because he drove a long way to do the job. I will also say that he was excellent in corresponding with me. He was always prompt in getting back to my email questions. Joshua seems like a nice young man! I'd recommend him!"

Small jobs welcome

"Had a retaining wall done? Eric was great in keeping me informed of all steps up to the very end and was easy to work with. His team did an outstanding job and the wall looks great. It is nice to have a company that shows pride in its work and cares about the customer. I highly recommend them."

"Clearwater Construction services was a great company to work with. CJ was attentive and communicative which is hard to find in this business. Every person that came out was polite and cleaned up very well. The subs they used were top notch and I would use any of them again. They did what they said they would do and did it on time. We were so impressed how they cared for the house while working on it. They treated it like their own. I highly recommend them for any work they can do and I will use them again when needed."

"We struggled to find a contractor to take on this somewhat unique project. I guess because it is a "wine cellar" some folks probably saw dollar figures when quoting, so we got some pretty high estimates. It was sure refreshing when Stan's bid came in just about exactly where we expected it. From day one we were impressed. Stan listened to our requirements carefully and drew up a detailed bid for the project at a cost we felt was reasonable and fair. He started the project very promptly (very much appreciated), and worked diligently throughout, finishing everything up almost two weeks ahead of schedule! Amazing attention to detail, Stan took the extra steps we might not of thought of (such as protective covering over studs where electrical or plumbing was present, for example). Our one change order was handled quickly and effectively, and Stan was always on site personally (if not doing the work directly himself). This project also involved installation of a specialize wine cellar cooling unit (split system - think HVAC). These are complicated units, and I doubt very much he had any experience with them previously. He and his crew pulled it off perfectly. We were very impressed, and wouldn't hesitate to hire again. Thanks Stan!"

"During wind storm a tree fell on out buildings. A garage and 2 sheds. This company was fast in tarping garage roof to keep rain from getting in. Also, Anwar was quick to give estimates on repairing garage roof and sheds. His crews put new roof on garage and sheds as well as replacing broken rafters caused by the tree. They prepped and painted garage and sheds. They look brand new. Anwar interfaced with my insurance company to get additional considerations from the original insurance estimate. I was especially appreciative of his help. You can't go wrong by hiring Dluxe Construction!!!"

"Matthew Bruce exceeded our expectations. Our 92-year-old dad fell while using the bathroom and injured himself. We needed an immediate response to make the bathroom safe. Matthew responded to my request very quickly. He asked questions about the situation that showed he had the expertise we needed. He came to the house within a day of agreeing to perform the work and completed the most urgent task that day. He needed other tools to complete the installation of the grab bar drilled into the shower tiles, so he had to return at a later time. He communicated clearly when he could return and completed the task. Additionally, he cleaned up after his work and was pleasant to workMatthew Bruce exceeded our expectations. "Let me start by saying, this ADU project was for my daughter, Macy. Macy has I/DD and Autism and will likely not be able to live away from us, her parents, unless she is in assisted living of some sort. However, together with her grandma we sought to create an environment for her to live as independently as possible and for her to grow into. This began our search for the perfect contractor who would understand our needs and work with us to build this ADU for Macy. Enter, Jay Bemis with Timeless Builders. After multiple meetings with contractors, many unreturned calls and emails, we met Jay. He immediately sounded interested and returned with a bid in a timely matter. We accepted this bid and began to move forward with this project. As with any construction project, we ran into unexpected situations. I could not have picked a better partner to handle all of these situations. He maintained focus on finding solutions, worked magic to make things happen that we wanted and came up with additional creative ideas when we couldn’t. He is a true craftsman and he employs the most amazing people! The pandemic hit during our project and he was respectful of our request to wear masks when entering our home. They continued the work and Jay was open about end dates and timelines. If you are looking to start a project, I can tell you that Jay Bemis and his team at Timeless Builders is who you want to partner with. Their work exceeded our expectations, their friendliness was an added bonus and the end result blew us away. Don’t think twice, contact Jay with Timeless Builders, he will help you get your project done right."

Storm Shelters questions, answered by experts

A 2,000-square-foot modular home costs an average of {AvgCost}, and most homeowners pay between {AvgRangeMinCost} and {AvgRangeMaxCost}, depending on the customization options you choose and the quality of materials. If you choose a more custom design and go all out with upgraded finishes, you could pay as much as $600,000.

If you’re building a pole barn in place of a traditional home, lenders usually don’t offer traditional mortgages for these structures. You can also expect higher insulation costs and building permits may not be allowed in your area. Even if you’re just using a pole barn as storage or as a shelter for animals, these structures are less durable than steel buildings and require more maintenance.

Deciding whether to buy a prebuilt fireplace kit or build one from scratch comes down to aesthetics, available space, and budget. Many homeowners like the convenience and lower cost of prebuilt options—around $1,500—versus the involved planning and construction of a larger fireplace. Another bonus: you can usually move prebuilt units. Custom projects are more common when homeowners have access to a larger budget and more area in the yard to place the fireplace.

Building a house is generally more expensive upfront than moving an existing one. However, the total cost depends on factors such as location, size, materials, labor, and permits. Moving a house can incur significant expenses for transportation, permits, site preparation, and renovations. On the other hand, building a new house allows for customization and may have lower long-term maintenance costs.

You can customize your storm shelter to any depth, but you’ll want to pay special attention to the water table on your property. Avoid installing an in-ground storm shelter less than 10 feet from the mean sea level, as this can lead to leaks. Get in touch with a storm shelter builder for a professional recommendation on how deep yours should be.
