We hired Steller Construction and Remodeling LLC to build a deck/Catio in May 2024. Micha (the Owner) was straightforward to work with and reach throughout the process. We are retired and live on a set income. Even though we had some lower estimates from other companies, we felt so confident with Micha's (the owner) ideas that, after looking at other reviews/images of this company, we decided to go with Steller Construction. Micha's team was absolutely amazing !!! Ray, our project's lead employee/carpenter, was very knowledgeable, considerate, and had an unbelievable work ethic! The rest of the team did an awesome job as well. They communicated well throughout the whole job always checking in with us to make sure they were doing what we wanted. They were professional and very polite everyday. At the end of each they completely cleaned up the area. We have worked with one other construction company and a roofing company when we did some remodling on our last home and did not have a good experience with either company. We were very nervous about having to go through another bad experience. We were so pleasantly surprised that Steller Construction turned out to be a great decision! Stellar Construction replaced our old, 2-level cedar deck with a new, 2-level composite deck with cable railing and lighting. Everyone associated with the job - from the owner (Micah), to the project manager (Taylor), to the crew (Austin and Ryan) - was professional, punctual and easy to deal with. They also were quick to address lighting issues that arose after the job was completed (and after they had already been paid), which indicates they care about their customers and their reputation. Bottom line: we are very happy with our new deck and would hire Stellar Construction again.

Stellar Construction did a fantastic job--we are so happy we selected them from the companies we had give us bids. The final project is amazing--we literally look at it through our sliders all the time! James and Kameron worked from morning until dusk through rain and cold and left a clean job site each day. One of the many things we really appreciated was how James would listen to what we wanted, ask us questions to clarify, give us suggestions based on his experience, etc. They displayed an evident pride in their work and a genuine desire to deliver what we wanted. And they did! We highly recommend Stellar Construction and will hire them for any other home improvement project we have in the future.

Micah at Stellar Construction, was the only one of 5 fence installers that responded to my Angie’s list bid requests. I’m very glad he did because his company did a fantastic job replacing the back of my fence after a tree fell on part of it - total of 114’, tree only damaged 15’. At first, he estimated 4-6 weeks before he had space in his schedule, but they ended up having a last minute opening within the week. He finished the job, with full cleanup, in 2 days. We are VERY pleased with the results! Thank you Micah & your crew!! We will definitely use him in the future and recommend him to family/friends!

Micah and his crew were top-notch. He met with us to be sure he knew what we wanted, took measurements, discussed details, and sent an estimate in a timely manner. We opted for real cedar decking (rather than the newer composite material which we felt was less earth-friendly in the long run, and which doesn't have the beauty of real wood). We took several estimates from other companies as well but decided to go with Stellar for three reasons: 1) Micah assured us he demanded his workers listen to the client, and work diligently, 2) He dips the cedar in the protective stain before construction, so it is stained on all sides and 3) Micah seemed honest, hard-working, and very comfortable with his skill. We had been debating on adding a deck cover, so when our scheduled install time arrived, we held that conversation with him. The estimate seemed reasonable, but I was nervous because I have seen some very shoddy deck covers. Micah assured us it would look professional and he was right. Our deck is of superior quality and blends nicely with the style of our house. Everything he constructed, from the mixed, cedar-and-black-aluminum hand rail, the hidden nail construction on deck boards, the deck-end finish, to the stain color are even better than I expected. And far superior to the original deck. Micah's price was fair and I feel we definitely got our money's worth. I highly recommend Stellar Construction.

This review is LOOOONG overdue!! First of all- Stellar Construction did an amazing job on our deck. We are extremely happy with the end result and now we love sitting on our awesome deck! After a couple minorly delayed start dates- such is life in construction/ house projects- our project began at the beginning of February and wrapped up on March 20. It took a little longer than expected due mostly to awful weather. The guys who worked on our house (James, Austin, Taylor, Ricardo, and Micah) were professional, courteous, approachable, and did fantastic work. We tore off a rotting wood deck and replaced as well as expanded it to add stairs and more square footage (our project was 500 sqft total). We used Azek pvc decking with hidden fasteners, and added an aluminum and steel cable railing. We also added a cover over a portion of the deck that starts on top of the roof of the house using Roof Jacks. If we had questions Micah always answered the phone and responded to emails promptly. Micah was always up front and extremely fair with the pricing throughout the whole project. I would highly recommend and use Stellar Construction again.

VERY very well. James and Sean did a meticulous job replacing an old fence and getting nice even height on an uneven ground. Only wish that the heat treated posts were of nicer quality and without splinters coming out at the corners, especially because the fence boards are better quality than we've ever had on previous fences. Also like the bracket mounting instead of posts buried in concrete idea. Well done fence!

Stellar Construction lives up to its name. The project was on schedule and on budget. The new deck is beautiful and we love it. We are looking forward to all the spring and summer events we will have out on the deck now.

This was the third time we have hired Stellar and I can say they certainly did a wonderful job once again! They are so considerate and efficient. Hard workers and go above and beyond to please the customer. Very patient especially when I decided to extend the flooring. They are now the company I will always call for all my needs. Micah is a great listener and will make suggestions if needed to help with your decisions and understanding of your products you have chosen. Excellent experience all around. The crew had to fix dry rot on the house first. They were very skilled at that. The second crew built the decks. Both crews were prompt, proficient and pleasant. They did all of the work in the cold pouring rain and then in the snow. The decks are sturdy and beautiful. Micah, the owner is professional and very easy to deal with. He was very responsive to my inquiries by phone or email.

I got a fence not stained so I had to pay another company to stain the fence when Stellar Construction did not purchase pre-stained boards as discussed. Stellar said they would come back in the spring and stain the fence, but when they came they stained about 10 feet and decided they didn't want to. As a result the quote was not accurate or comparable to others as the stain was not included like it was in the others quotes. So my costs were higher, the job was incomplete and I have 2 wonky gates.

We couldn't be happier with the work done by Stellar Construction. We had a general idea of what we wanted and Micah gave us some great suggestions. The work was done fast and they cleaned up afterwards. We are very happy with our new front porch!

The massive double deck at our home was on it’s last legs, literally. After time, all decks reach a point where safety becomes a consideration, and procrastination is not an option. I began my search for a contractor for the project. My bottom line was; I needed to find a contractor that specialized in decking which would be structurally sound and, equally important, built to last for a reasonable amount of time. Naturally, this would depend on the materials selected for the project, as well as budget constraints. I, for one, did not want to sacrifice my precious time laboring on decking maintenance any more than I had to. I researched decking contractor reviews extensively, and one stood out. I contacted Stellar Construction, and subsequently met with Micah, the contractor. It turned out to be a very positive and pressure free experience. Micah reviewed the project, and offered his professional opinion. He spoke with a confidence, sincere and genuine, regarding his approach to decking. He discussed all the options available in regards to materials, as well as the financial aspect of each. The determining factor for me was the quality of his character. I could sense that he truly loved the craft he chose in life, and approached my project with enthusiasm, as if it were a deck he would build for himself. His lead assistant, Ryan, met with us and analyzed the project, discussing all the specifics of the project in detail. He would check for understanding, and answered any and all questions we had. Ryan is outstanding in regards to his knowledge of anything decking. When he states ‘the best way to do this,’ you just know it’s factual. He’s a true and rare craftsman, only seen in a bygone era. His right hand man, Taylor, was also instrumental in the success of the project. It was like having Yoda and Luke Skywalker building my massive deck. Micah, overseeing the project, was in constant communication throughout the project, never failing to respond to my calls. His follow-through, superb organizational skills, and a plethora of decking experiences are truly an asset. His aim is to keep you happy, and for you to feel good about the project you have assigned to him. He sincerely appreciates your business, and projects it through his actions. The end result was spectacular! The workmanship was outstanding and beyond reproach. No unwanted gaps, no warped wood, no unsightly errors. The high level of professionalism, as well as the high level of craftsmanship, contribute to the success of this company. Everything is well thought out, and carried toward perfection. It was a ‘stellar’ job (excuse the pun), that produced a deck worthy of a home magazine cover. I commend Micah, Ryan, Taylor, and their crew for putting their heart into this project.

Micah came out and did an estimate which was very reasonable. Once we were on the schedule, his crew was able to complete the deck project within 2 days and it's gorgeous. The people who did stone work were booked up but they were able to come out within a couple weeks and finish the attached patio. The work is top notch and I love the result. Micah is friendly and professional. He responds to inquiries very quickly and is proactive about notifying client about any issues or potential delays. I would highly recommend working with Micah and Stellar Construction. I would definitely hire them again for other outdoor construction.

Outstanding. Stellar Construction delivers quality with terrific employees who were a pleasure to have at our home's job site. From design through project completion, the company owner, Micah and his team were top notch in all aspects of the project along with their communication at every important juncture. Their responsiveness coupled with craftsmanship is superb! Highly recommend Stellar Construction deck and other home remodel projects.

I can't say enough good things about Stellar Construction. From the bid process to completion everything was great. The price was more than competitive. They started on the date promised. They were here every day. Micah and his crew were more than helpful and took the time to answer all questions we had during the process. Best of all the finished product was everything we had hoped for. We would definitely recommend them to anyone. Jeff

great. approx 140 feet. guys had to remove 6 posts then custom-fit the whole way. they also replicated the top horizontal style we requested. had all the right equipment. their $ bid was in the ball park. I'm a happy camper. so is wife. recommending them to neighbors.

Great. Fair value. Slow to start, but fast to complete. Good quality. Sometimes assumes, so make sure he understands what you want. Overall satisfying.

Contacted Stellar Construction to replace original decking with a two tier deck with cover and a patio. Micah was very responsive, walked me through several options and we decided on the overall design and layout. First came the demolition of the old decking, then the patio and finally got to the deck. There was some extensive rot around the window and door leading to the deck, so after a quick consult the Stellar crew pulled out the rot, fixed that side or the house and then installed the decking. Keep in mind this is the middle of winter and they are working in the rain and at one point snow. Extremely pleased with the final outcome and have already BBQ'ed twice (in February). The Stellar crew were all friendly and pleasant to interact with. I work at home, so it was nice to see them everyday and watch the process. Highly recommended.

The workers were able to reuse the existing picket boards. They replaced 2 posts.

I called Stellar about the fence a few months ago and got an immediate response. The owner Micah was very professional and courteous, even though he had a hard time reaching me due to my work schedule. The initial bid came in very reasonable, but after actually visiting the site he had to adjust significantly upward because there was a rock wall along part of the fence line. This required him to remove some large rocks to pour the posts. His job schedule was pretty backed up and it took a few months before they were able to actually get this job done. However, when they did start the job, they were done in two days. One day to remove the old fence and set the posts, and the final day to install and clean up. I will give them a decent grade on clean up since it was pouring rain when they did the install, but there was a significant amount of mud on my patio, in my walk and yard. Having said that, it would have been impossible not to leave mud. I guess I wanted to see it sprayed off a little better. But to be fair, I didn't mention this to them, so they might have actually done more cleanup had I asked. They did a great job of removing the old fence and other surrounding debris. Finally, the fence looks fantastic. They used steel supports on the posts and allowed some clearance so the wood won't rot on the ground. The job was delayed a few times as we worked out the details, but again, Micah had a hard time reaching me and this might have taken less time had I been in closer contact with him. Based on the other quote I got, his was a bit above HALF of that. So I think Stellar was reasonable if not a great value. I don't like to give out A's because I don't have a large amount of info to compare it to, but ultimately I decided to grade on how I feel about the final result. My wife and I are very happy with the result, and will recommend Stellar to others. The Grade of B for price is because his initial bid was quite a bit lower than the final bid, but I believe the price was still actually very good for what had to be done, I just don't have anything to compare that with. The Grade of B for punctuality was given because the job was started 2 weeks after they said they would start on it.

Beautiful fence, quick build, and the price matched the quote. Micah was professional and courteous throughout, and quickly came back to fix a small issue that was forgotten. The only issue was a small financial one- my deposit wasn't deducted from the total and I didn't catch it until after he had left with the check. It took a few weeks to get that money back, but again, Micah always responded and made sure it got back to me. Definitely going to hire again.
