Let me start by saying, this ADU project was for my daughter, Macy. Macy has I/DD and Autism and will likely not be able to live away from us, her parents, unless she is in assisted living of some sort. However, together with her grandma we sought to create an environment for her to live as independently as possible and for her to grow into. This began our search for the perfect contractor who would understand our needs and work with us to build this ADU for Macy. Enter, Jay Bemis with Timeless Builders. After multiple meetings with contractors, many unreturned calls and emails, we met Jay. He immediately sounded interested and returned with a bid in a timely matter. We accepted this bid and began to move forward with this project. As with any construction project, we ran into unexpected situations. I could not have picked a better partner to handle all of these situations. He maintained focus on finding solutions, worked magic to make things happen that we wanted and came up with additional creative ideas when we couldn’t. He is a true craftsman and he employs the most amazing people! The pandemic hit during our project and he was respectful of our request to wear masks when entering our home. They continued the work and Jay was open about end dates and timelines. If you are looking to start a project, I can tell you that Jay Bemis and his team at Timeless Builders is who you want to partner with. Their work exceeded our expectations, their friendliness was an added bonus and the end result blew us away. Don’t think twice, contact Jay with Timeless Builders, he will help you get your project done right.

Overall Jay is excellent. He is responsive, always answers texts or phone calls quickly and generally does what he says he will do. Like all construction projects there were small issues along the way but Jay got on top of them and addressed them quickly. Site was clean during construction work, his subs/trades were all good, nice people, skilled workers who did excellent quality work. Overall this was done well and in an acceptable timeframe. I think generally construction could have been executed quicker, there were a few times when no-one was working at the house that could have shaved some time. But, given my extensive experience with construction Jay is one of the good ones ! His estimate was high but he came in well under it and within sight of what I expected things to cost. I will (I am) definately using him again...

Even tho' we engaged another company for the foundation Jay followed the progress all the way thru. This whole ordeal was overwhelming for us home owners but Jay was a major calming factor thru the storm. He came by several times during the actual foundation replacement, I'm sure for his own reasons, but made us aware of the process and how it was going. All the his trades folks were kind, curious, and very professional. When the job was complete it far surpassed our expatiation. We were not pressured to have things we didn't need but he made sure what we needed was done. All in all it was a lot of money but the quality of the work and attention to detail increased the value of our house enough to really make it worth it. We look forward to work with Timeless Builders in the future

There are few words to describe how pleased my wife and I were with the
work that Jay Bemis at Timeless Construction did on our recent remodel
and addition which took place in 2015- 2016.  After interviewing several
contractors we chose to work with Jay.  It was clear to me from our
first meeting - he had the ability and experience to do the job.

Our project was large in scale ($600,000 + ) technical, complicated, and
very challenging with many moving parts.   The addition of nearly 1000
sq feet to our home required the complete removal of our roof  and
rebuilding of much of the existing structure.  In addition, we did a
complete kitchen renovation, outside deck, new roof, and a concrete
patio.  Jay was responsible for all phases of the project; from
excavation, foundation, framing, electrical, plumbing, A/V etc., to the
finish work.  We were extremely happy with his eye for detail and
quality of workmanship.

This was true, not only for himself and his crew, but for all his subcontractors.
His crew and his subcontractors were on the job site and - on time - everyday, respectful
of my home, my family and our needs as we lived in our home as the
renovation and construction took place over 15 months.  This being my
5th remodeling experience - working with such a crew was a pleasure!

I found Jay?s pricing to be more than competitive and his input and
options to be rock solid.  He was easy to work and his constant
communication on the project was refreshing.  He was on the job site or
involved with the work underway on a daily basis.

It is without hesitation that I would recommend Jay Bemis to anyone considering a
construction or renovation project; you simply can not do better.

We were very happy with the work that Jay and his employees did on our kitchen remodel.
The project started with Jay taking our requirements and thoughts about how we would like the kitchen.  He would bring back options and blueprints for us to review.
When we came to a finalized design we started the demolition and building of our new kitchen. it took approximately 5 weeks from the start of the demolition to having a fully functional kitchen. In the end the kitchen was just what we wanted and we are extremely happy with it.

Jame Bemis of Timeless Construction was one of two bids requested for this project. Timeless Construction's proposal consisted of a step by step list of the tasks to be performed with cost and time estimates to complete the project.  There was plenty of detail to look at.  To me, this gave me some insight as to what Jay's thought process was behind his bid.  It was a basic procedure to add on the extra space as well as remodel the older part of the house.  As Jay told me he had already built this house in his head before putting his bid together.  He was very professional in addressing our questions and all of our concerns prior to signing the contract.
There were two parts to this project; one to gut the old house and redo electrical, pipe replacement (where needed), new walls, flooring, woodwork, doors, add some hardwood flooring, new kitchen and two bathrooms, and secondly, add a master suite consisting of two walk-in closets, a master bath and bedroom, and an office.  This amounted to about 720 new floor space to the existing house of about 1700 sq. ft.  Total square footage is now around 2400. The project required; excavation for the addition, an additional foundation with crawl space, roof and wall framing, window installation, electrical, plumbing, sheet rock and finish, flooring (hardwood, vinyl, and carpet), interior/exterior painting, a new roof for the entire house, and a new furnace/heat pump. All of the crafts working on this project did excellent work and were at the job site when required.
Everyday of the project the appropriate crafts were on site.  Everyday something was accomplished.  The builder was at the job site 95+% of the time and not off working on someone else's job.  The workmanship was some of the best I've seen.  The work against the proposed schedule held true until we asked for changes. The builder worked with us through these requests to keep things moving anyway.
As we got into the project we had some discoveries in the old part of the house that needed to be addressed.  This added cost but never the less had to be done.  We also added some features while we had everything apart.  The builder was responsive and always gave me cost and time impact information with each request.  Some changes we withdrew due to cost.
Originally this project was to be about 10 weeks in length, however with changes we requested the project extended for an additional 4 weeks.  It is now complete and exceeds our expectations.  The home is beautiful and we got everything we wanted (for a price).  I highly recommend Jay Bemis, Timeless Construction if you want a quality job and delivered on time. While our project finished 4 weeks longer than originally planned all of it was due to additional work we asked to be done.
When the final inspection was done only two easily correctable things needed attention.  The inspector commented that this was a quality job and that we had a good builder.
Since my wife and I have built two previous houses and remodeled two others we had some knowledge and experience with the process so it allowed for much clearer communication between the builder and us.  Our expectations were fairly well aligned from the start.  Clear communication is an absolute must when doing a complex project like this one.  All changes were done in writing so we had a documentation trail in case there was any dispute about the work to be done.  One thing about a remodel is there will be discoveries when you open up the walls and you need to be prepared to fix some things before you can move forward.  This may add cost and time to your project.

We have seen Jay's floor work in our friend's home and hired Jay to remove the existing wood floor and carpet in the downstairs of our home. Jay understood our budget for this project and suggested us different options for the hardwood. We selected Brazilian Cherry. Jay did all the work by himself and did a great job of removing the existing floor and sub-floor. He replaced the sub-floor with plywood, then placed the water barrier on top of it and then installed the hardwood on top of it. He also replaced the existing base-board and installed a new one, repainted the base-board. The floors look really great. We are very much happy with his work. Jay showed his craftsmanship skills and good quality of detailed work. He was very professional and gave us many tips on different issues of floors and taking care of house issues in general.

It went really well and I had a little problem when I had to pay him with cash, but he said he was applying for the ability to process  credit.  The garage door looks great and the kitchen sink wall looks good.
