"These guys are amazing. I asked to have my roof soft washed and treated for moss. I got all of that plus an amazing roof cleaning, gutter cleaning, patio roof cleaned and washed, patio blown off, driveway washed with pressure hose and soap, siding cleaned after roof cleaning and mess cleaned up. I never expected Darryl to be so thorough. This day and age, you don't always expect to get someone that takes so much pride in their work. I will be Moss Busters exclusively and annually. Nice work Darryl. If you want a job done that you can be proud of, I highly recommend Moss Busters."

"Ray’s Pressure Washing made my driveway and patio very clean. The cleaning for both areas took less than an hour and the service cost a very reasonable price. I would not only hire this business again but would also recommend to anyone who needs a driveway washed."

"I cannot say enough positive things about these guys. We don't have the nicest house in the world but after they have been here we certainly have the nicest looking house in the neighborhood. Douglas and his team are responsive and professional and do an amazing job for a very reasonable price. Our lot is 7,000 SF. We had a lot of leaves, mud, branches and shoots coming out of the ground from a plum tree's droppings. Although there's nothing they can do about the mud (and this was just a basic clean up - not an overhaul) It all looks beautiful now. When time comes for the overhaul, we will definitely call them. They are also very respectful of an area in the back garden where we have a memorial to several pets we have lost over the years. And one of the guys has a lovely singing voice. Bottom line, I would recommend Ramos in a heartbeat and we will continue to have our yard dome by them for as long as we live in the area.

"They showed up on time, took 4 hours and did a good job. Cleaned up afterwards. It was raining the whole time. They treated the roof also to prevent more moss. The guy cleaned the gutters also."

Roof Cleaning questions, answered by experts

In most cases, it is best to leave icicles on your roof and allow them to melt naturally. You should only consider removing them if they are heavy enough to cause damage to your home or pose a risk to people below. Since removing icicles can be dangerous, it is recommended to hire a professional for the job if you have immediate concerns. To prevent the issue from recurring, you should address the underlying cause, such as improving your home's insulation or installing roof heating coils.

Iron, or ferrous sulfate, is one of the fastest methods for killing moss. As such, you’ll find this ingredient in many lawn fertilizers and lawn killers. Vinegar is another solution for quickly killing moss. It takes just 15 to 20 minutes for vinegar to take effect. A harsher method is bleach, which also has a similar time frame for taking effect.

The best time of year for roof cleaning depends on your local climate, but generally, late spring, summer, or early autumn are ideal. Plan to clean your roof on a day with dry weather and moderate temperatures.

Late spring and early summer are excellent for cleaning off grime accumulated after a snowy winter or wet spring. Summer often provides the necessary dry conditions, though in very hot climates, late spring may be more comfortable. Alternatively, cleaning in late autumn can clear away debris like leaves and branches before winter.

Avoid cleaning your roof when it is cold enough for water to freeze, as this can cause dangerous ice buildup.

There are several ways to remove snow from your roof: using a snow rake, salting the roof with calcium chloride, using a rope (cautiously), and using heating cables. It’s important to mention that pretty, fluffy, sparkling snow weighs a great deal, and when physically removing snow from a roof, you should be aware of large snow slabs breaking off. These can weigh hundreds of pounds and are a real danger, so be extremely careful anytime you’re doing this type of work.

Soft washing chemicals typically consist of a mix of sodium hypochlorite (or a chemical component of bleach) and water. While sodium hypochlorite and bleach are often thought to be the same thing, there is one small but key difference between the two: sodium hypochlorite comes in powdered rather than liquid form, which means that it’s also more concentrated and more effective from less product overall.
