"Panderosa garage door: I had some trouble with my garage door/hinges. Spoke with Ken....the owner over the phone, and found out that theyâ re not open on the weekends...as I inquired about it heâ s very courteous and professional and a person of his word and honest, which I must say is very hard to find these days. Despite being closed on the weekend...He sent over his guy â nickâ on a Saturday morning, he arrived very punctual, looked at the garage door without any up selling and got started right away! Overall I would not hesitate to recommend this company to any of my friends, great job and thank you so much Ken and Nick....for accommodating me, you guys are great at what you do! Thank you very much!! From a happy customer!"

"D Bar Garage Doors was great. They did a wonderful job with keeping us informed with each step along the way. The crew was cleaned, organize and helped us by switching the placement of the lock on to the other side of the door to get around the storage issues so we could reach it. The biggest compliment goes to them helping us install a pet door for fur babies. Then all the other companies refused, so it made us fell they were actually listening to what we needed when none of the other companies did. I would recommend them to my friends an co workers."

"Portland Locksmith and Garage Doors was very prompt and professional. They reviewed my needs, quoted me a price, and when I accepted their quote they very efficiently went about the work of replacing my old garage door opener with the new one. Josh was very friendly, courteous, and helped me understand the options."

"If you like to install a new garage door, I highly recommend this company. They have a fair price and excellent services. From the start, RW garage doors is the only one went to an extra step and try to help me out. My small garage door had a minor damage and it was hard to open and close. I had three companies to give me quotes. Tim from RW worked on the door and made working easier for us. Robert and his partner were very professional. They made sure that we understand all steps they were doing. Robert also spent time to explain to us how to maintain the garage door."

Garage Doors questions, answered by experts

Sliding garage doors aren’t popular because when they can be inconvenient—they require you to leave your car—if they’re manual. But, if they’re automatic, they’re much more expensive than a conventional tilting door. Some find the sliding door less aesthetically pleasing than a tilting or barn door.

While you can technically use WD-40 to lube a garage door, it is not the best option since the oil it leaves behind can attract dirt. Instead, go to the hardware store and locate a lithium- or silicone- based garage grease. You can also search for garage door lubricant online; just make sure you get one that is made with lithium or silicone.

The amount of paint needed to cover a two-car garage floor depends on the surface area and the product's coverage rate. On average, a standard two-car garage floor measures 400 to 500 square feet. Coverage ranges from 100 to 200 square feet per gallon for epoxy paint, depending on the product and application method. After some quick math, you may need 2 to 5 gallons of epoxy paint with two coats to cover a two-car garage floor.

The best method for painting a garage door depends on the door's design and the finish you want to achieve. For the most professional-looking finish, especially on doors with panels or intricate details, a paint sprayer is an excellent choice. It can easily get into hard-to-reach places and provide a smooth, even coat.

If you don't have a sprayer, or if your door is flat, a combination of a roller and a brush is the most effective approach. Use a roller for the large, flat sections to cover the area quickly and efficiently. For the best results, experts recommend a roller with a nap between ⅜ and ¾ inches thick; natural fibers can also help ensure an even coat.

A brush is essential for handling the finer details. Use it to paint grooves, angles, small panels, and the edges of the door where you need more control.

Regardless of the tools you use, it's a good idea to step back after the main application to review your work and use a detail brush to touch up any missed spots.

There are many benefits to painting a garage floor, especially if you use an epoxy floor coating. In general, paint makes your garage easier to clean. Since concrete is porous, it tends to absorb things like dirt, grime, mildew, oil, and grease. Paint—specifically epoxy-based paint—creates a barrier that helps you easily mop up the mess before it stains or is difficult to remove.
