"Zach and Jake did an excellent job on the air duct and dryer vent cleaning. Came on time, gave us a heads up on their ETA. Upon arrival they explained clearly the procedure and the tools they will be using. Throughout the procedure they were very polite and answered all our questions to our satisfaction. They reattached my airvents properly and took out some bad insulation. They showed us the dirt accumulated from the clean up job (a good amount) and vacuumed the entire house leaving the job site spotless. Thank you so much. Will hire again."

"Daniel came to do a yearly maintenance on my heat exchanger and heat pump. Everything was working great! He suggested I do a few things down the road. I will be scheduling a ductwork cleaning sooner than later. Everything is so expensive, I have to prioritize my needs. He was patient and not pushy"

Air Duct Cleaning questions, answered by experts

Failing to follow an air duct cleaning schedule can allow dust, allergens, and contaminants to accumulate. This can lead to poor indoor air quality and potential respiratory problems or allergies for occupants. Mold and mildew can develop in the ducts, posing serious health risks and creating unpleasant odors. Debris buildup can also restrict airflow, causing the HVAC system to work harder and reduce its efficiency.

Yes, professionals clean ducts to ensure proper ventilation and reduce fire risks.

Blocking or closing return air vents on the floor or ceiling will not save money on energy bills and could place additional stress on the HVAC system. Installers strategically place return vents to ensure the best flow of air throughout the entire system, so keeping them open and free from blockages is important. Figure out how to open ceiling air vents and return vents. Check them occasionally to ensure air can freely flow into them for maximum performance.

If your HVAC system's capacity doesn't match the required CFM (Cubic Feet per Minute), imbalances can occur. An undersized system struggles to maintain desired temperatures, leading to discomfort. An oversized system might short-cycle, wasting energy and causing temperature fluctuations. Properly matching capacity to CFM ensures efficient and consistent heating, cooling, and home ventilation system performance.

You’ll want to spot-clean your air vents once every month. Spot-clean them by using a handheld vacuum, a brush attachment, or a microfiber cloth dipped in warm, soapy water. Make sure you trace over the corners and crevices, which trap dust. Once or twice a year, you should also deep clean. You can remove the vents and soak them in warm, soapy water for a half hour before cleaning, drying, and returning them.
