"I was notified by my water bureau that I had a major pipe leak and was horrified to learn that the leak added up to 10,000 gallons more than my normal usage in a billing cycle. I contacted Anton Beslic at MasterWorks Plumbing based on the stellar Angi reviews. He came over the following morning and diagnosed the problem within minutes: an old and cracked PVC pipe leading from the house to the meter. Anton made the arrangements to get the job started and mostly completed the following day. That involved getting a permit from the city; having officials mark on my lawn where fiber optic cables, gas lines, etc., were located; hiring a company to bore a new service line from the meter to the house crawl space; installing a quality 60’ pipe that will last way beyond my lifetime; installing an expansion tank on the water heater; and arranging for a final inspection from the city. Anton also installed a main house shut off in the closet next to the crawl space entry, which I did not have previously. I was so impressed by his professionalism, skill, and attention to detail and am forever grateful for how quickly he got the job done. I highly recommend MasterWorks plumbing!"

The Crawlspace Crew was created by Dillon Rivera and Harlan Gross, long-time friends who have been working in the vicinity of one another for many years. As time passed, they gained the managerial experience required to run large crews and even whole companies. At that point it was only natural that they go into business together in the area where they had a combined 11 years of experience: restoration. They have been serving the Portland/Salem areas for all these years and are committed to providing top-notch service for many years to come.
"I contracted with this company at the beginning of May. Their original estimate was discounted to $4k from $4700. Upon having the work done they found an issue that would cost an additional $500. They did not complete the work and said they would call and schedule to complete. The next day they call me and say that they estimated my crawlspace at 450 Sq ft for an 1800 Sq ft 2 story home and my crawlspace is actually 900sq ft and they wanted an additional $3400 but since this was completely their error they would do it for $1900. Considering these are professionals and the owner is the one that quoted me, I expect accurate measuring. Also, why did they not mention this information while at my home? Lastly, Harlan, the owner admitted to them having multiple problems with estimating. Either the team needs to be re-trained or put on performance improvement plans. Underestimating a space by 50% is not quality work. "

It usually takes a professional water heater installer between two and three hours to remove an existing water heater and install a new tank heater. However, it could take four to five hours if they have to work in a small utility closet or another tight area, like a crawl space. Sweating copper pipes and connecting wiring properly are skills most DIYers don’t have, and even if you do feel confident you can do it, working with water and electricity always leaves the potential for electrocution. Hiring a local water heater installer is well worth the investment.
In most municipalities, a license is not mandatory for water heater installation or replacement. However, we strongly recommend hiring a licensed plumber or water heater installer to handle the work. Licensed installers are far less likely to make a mistake during the installation, which means paying for the experience decreases your risk of a leak and other issues.
