The guy was on time, went straight to work, was extremely professional, and had my washer fixed in about 20 minutes. "My chest freezer broke down and I did not want to buy a new one since I could not afford the same size. I reached out to appliance parts pro and they were confident that what I ordered would fix my problem. $200 in parts later and I now have a broken freezer on my porch and am still paying the loan to this terrible company. They just want you to order parts and try them because they know you can't return them. I hate this company with every fiber of my being and will make sure that anyone that has a broken appliance will not use them. To top it off, their site is so screwed up that it give you an error trying to log back in. I ended up having to create THREE different accounts because every time I went to place a new order, it would not let me login and it would not send a password reset email. DON'T GET RIPPED OFF."

"This is the first online review I've ever written -- my experience with this company was that bad. Three aspects that deserve attention: 1) I placed an order and tried to cancel six minutes later. Turns out they don't accept cancellations. 2) I couldn't find a phone number, so I had to work the return/refund by email. The exchange was painful -- so unhelpful I felt like I was interacting with a bad chatbot. 3) I ended up eating shipping costs (expected) and got hit for a 50% restocking fee (unexpected) because I refused the package instead of paying to ship it back. Didn't matter that it went to the correct address, was clearly labeled, and had prior return authorization. So I ended up with a $21 refund on a $60 order, and a lesson learned about where not to buy appliance parts."

The average microwave sold today can last seven to eight years. With proper maintenance, it's realistic to expect a microwave to last up to 10 years. Some boutique appliance brands boast microwaves that can provide up to 15 years of flawless performance before you have to think about microwave installation costs again.

If a junk removal company or scrap hauler is taking your old appliances, you’ll just need to make sure they’re empty and disconnected before removal. It's good to contact the manufacturer first to see if any warranties still exist, and if they have any specific repair persons they recommend. Some specialty units or smart units may require the assistance of a manufacturer-approved technician. Oven issues can be more challenging to diagnose than other appliances in the home because many of the parts are difficult to access for inspection or replacement. Some common oven repairs involve replacing damaged burners, heating coils, or electric cables. Purchasing additional parts, such as a new heating coil may also increase the total repair cost. 

The short answer is no, wall ovens do not need exterior venting. This is because ovens have internal vents which help dissipate the air and control the heat and fumes. Safety is important, which is why built-in ovens have systems inside of them that slowly purge heat and fumes. It is rare for a built-in oven to have a range hood with external ventilation, but this is common for stovetop/oven combination units as they don’t possess the same internal venting technology as wall units.

  • Cleaning your TV regularly by dust monthly.

  • Use a microfiber cloth and TV screen-cleaning spray to clean the screen.

  • Allow plenty of space around the TV for ventilation.

  • Decide on a location not directly in front of a light source, like a window.
