After four days of calls that never actually went through and being told that I had to pay $140.00 before they would even schedule a time to come look at my dryer, I went on Angi and found Cincinnati Restaurant and Home Appliance Repair. Typically, most appliances last anywhere from 10 to 15 years, depending on the appliance, brand, and amount of use. Keeping a regular maintenance schedule, including cleaning and tune-ups, also helps appliances last longer. You could save some power by using a smaller tank, insulating the tank, or lowering the temperature of the water heater.

If a junk removal company or scrap hauler is taking your old appliances, you’ll just need to make sure they’re empty and disconnected before removal. If you’re bringing them to a disposal site yourself, check the site’s guidelines to find out if you need to take any steps to prepare your appliances first, particularly if the appliance uses refrigerants.
