"From start to finish, my experience with Rogers Basement Waterproofing was the the kind of experience we all hope for when hiring a professional. I contacted Rogers initially to get an idea of how to start addressing external moisture issues around my home’s foundation. My plan was to start by having new downspout/sump drainage lines installed, but my goal was to find a trusted company I could have confidence in for addressing future foundation/basement issues that are inevitable in aging homes. Shortly after my initial call, Nick contacted me. At our appointment he arrived promptly and took the time to listen to all my concerns. He was so knowledgeable, patient, and easy to communicate with. He answered my millions of questions, and I never felt rushed or pressured. In fact, I felt so impressed with that consult that I signed a contract on the spot—something I never do—for installation of drainage lines. The day before the scheduled work, Nicole—the Office Manager—contacted me to confirm and answer any questions I might have. I did have a request concerning one of the lines, and she relayed that request as soon as our call ended. Within minutes, I was contacted by Nick that my request was noted. Nicole was so incredibly nice that it further confirmed that I’d chosen the right company. On the scheduled day, the 4 man crew arrived on the dot. The terrific crew were so efficient that the work was completed in under four hours. You literally cannot see where the trench was dug. Last night, we had a gulley washer rainfall. My neighbors probably thought I had lost my mind standing in the street in the rain in the dark with a flashlight—but it was so great watching the rainwater pouring out of the new drainage pipe ? "Ryan Phillips, the owner's son, came out to give an estimate on repairing a cracked bowing foundation as well as repairing water leaking into basement. He was honest and very knowledgeable on the problem and how to repair it. We decided to hire Phillips over many of the other companies that used high pressure sales tactics and had inferior products (drain pipe on top of footer/carbon fiber repairs). The work was done by a crew over two days and overseen by the owner, Bruce. They put up plastic over everything and cleaned up after they were done. They also installed new underground 4" downspout drain line. It's been about a year since the work was done and there hasn't been any leaks. Would highly recommend."

How do you set your well’s pressure tank? All you need to do is first drain the tank of water and find the pressure switch. Remove the switch cover and adjust the switch with a wrench—clockwise to increase water pressure, and counter-clockwise to reduce it. Each complete turn of the nut on the switch should equal 2.5 psi. Once this is done, replace the switch cover. All that’s left is to adjust the pressure of the tank itself using an air compressor and a tire gauge to support the new setting.

The septic installation company must follow several steps to put in a new septic system and leach field. The installer will study your property and determine the best place for the tank and leach field. The site should be away from existing structures, be free of trees, and have proper drainage and grading. Preparing the site for the tank and leach field will require significant excavation work.

If your well pump is running continuously (meaning without turning off or stopping), it's a sign that your well pump is starting to break down. The length of time your well pump should cycle is dependent on many factors, like the tank size, pressure setting, and even the amount of water in your well. Generally, your well pump should cycle, or go from running to not running every few minutes.

A well lasts at least 25 years, after which the natural sediment and minerals in the soil and water can build up and affect the well. Parts of the well, particularly the well pump, tend to wear out faster and require replacement after 15 to 20 years. Once the well reaches the end of its life span, you can hire a pro to seal it before drilling a new well in another location.

Wells usually replenish at about 5 gallons per minute, but a few variables can influence how quickly they refill. A deep well will take more time to replenish than a shallow well, and any leaks or other damage can slow down the replenishment rate. Other factors, such as a faulty well pump, a clogged well screen, and local geology, can also affect the replenishment rate.
