"This is probably the 5th time I've hired BK Hauling in the past ten years. It's been a couple years since the last time so I was just delighted they're still around. I called LATE last night and left a voicemail, and he was at my house before 9AM. This is the biggest hauling job I've ever needed because I went through the entire house, basement, crawl space and filled up my garage with everything I don't need. The kids are grown and it's time to pare down. He went to the basement and broke down a couple heavy tables, too. I was sure he'd need 2-3 trips but this guy can pack a truck. In less than two hours it was all gone -- all in one load. He swept up and left everything perfect. Such a nice guy, too. I just can't say enough about BK Hauling."

However, as time goes on and more food is ground, the grinding plates will slowly lose their edge and need replacing. The two main negatives of garbage disposals are they are a safety hazard in homes with children, and they frequently encounter blockage issues. While they might be annoying to fix and monitor, garbage disposals can significantly lower your trash use and are a great way to dispose of organic waste. While there are negatives, the vast majority of homeowners acknowledge the positives are enough to install a disposal in their home. 

Generally speaking, it’s absolutely worth it to repair a garbage disposal, so long as it’s eight years old or younger. Once you pass that eight-year threshold, it depends on the issue.
