"TPM is an excellent company to do business with. They built my fence on the property just after I bought it so that I had a run for my dogs. Fence and three gates are very solid and one of them is large enough for my 48” riding mower. In other words the work they do is customized to your needs. They also built my 24’X 36’ workshop and I could not be happier with it. My only regret is that I did not have TPM pour the concrete slab as they would have done that work cheaper and the quality would have been far better. TPM just recently added a 10’X24’ lean to shed for my workshop so that I can now store my tractor out of the weather. There is nothing I would not trust TPM to do for me and I would give them the highest recommendation. Really good people doing excellent work!!!"

Fencing questions, answered by experts

Fencing projects in Circleville are often planned with flexibility in mind. Many contractors use modular panels and adjustable gate systems, making it easier to expand or modify your fence as your property needs change. Installing the fence just inside your property line helps avoid disputes and allows for future adjustments. Always ensure your design aligns with zoning regulations so future modifications can be permitted smoothly.

Helpful?

In Circleville, homeowners play a key role in selecting fence materials, height, and gate locations to meet both personal preferences and local codes. You’ll need to review your property survey, secure HOA approval if required, and sign off on permit applications. Decisions on contractor access, installation timing, and any mid-project changes are also yours. Final choices like stain color and landscaping integration are typically homeowner-driven.

Helpful?

In Circleville, common fencing mistakes include skipping a property survey, overlooking utility easements, and starting work without proper permits or HOA sign-off. Choosing materials that don’t suit local weather, failing to plan for drainage, and not setting posts below the frost line are frequent issues. Homeowners sometimes underestimate ongoing maintenance or hire contractors lacking experience with Circleville’s unique soil and zoning requirements.

Helpful?

Fencing projects in Circleville can be complicated by sloped yards, mature trees, and clay-heavy soil that affects post stability. Underground utilities and easements often require careful planning to avoid costly mistakes. Properties near the Scioto River or in historic districts may face extra restrictions. Rural homes sometimes have septic systems or wells, which influence fence placement and design, making thorough site assessment essential.

Helpful?

Fencing in Circleville faces challenges from the region’s humidity, clay soil, and seasonal storms. Wood fences need yearly cleaning and staining every few years to resist moisture and sun. Vinyl and aluminum fences benefit from seasonal washing and regular hardware checks. After heavy rain or wind, inspect for shifting posts and clear debris. Trimming back vegetation helps prevent rot and keeps your fence in top condition.
