"We had another plumber come out & they were unable to correct a leak in our kitchen faucet. That plumber recommended we buy a new faucet, which we did. Luckily this "other" plumber did not charge us. Once we purchased a new faucet, I got this big deal to have it installed. The faucet was likely original to our 24 year old home. The plumbers could not free the nuts from the faucet & I recommended they just cut it out. The only small issue we had was that they came to our house much later than promised. In their defense they were repairing a major leak in someone's basement & they wanted to clean up before arriving."

"I was a little concerned about things going smoothly. I had emailed the project manager my list with photos, as I need to get some questions answered in advance of the visit. I had to make a few calls to get answers. But I figured if I could get the high priority items done it would still be worth it, especially for the price (an Angie's List special deal - 8 hours for $299). Colin arrived on time and diligently worked through the list. He was personable, answered questions and offered advice. Some of the things he did: planed 3 sticky doors, repaired a steel door where the layers were separating, repaired a gate opening and changed out the hardware, installed a light fixture, changed a lawn mower blade, replaced weatherstripping on garage door, re-caulked two sinks, installed a wall coat rack, several hooks and a towel bar and replaced blinds."

"I very much appreciated the honest approach and straight forward solution. I thought I was going to have to have major work done to the basement walls and it turned out that it was just a matter of my gutters not properly draining the water away from the foundation. Thanks to Kevan and Drain Designs of Akron Canton for fixing my problem and saving me tons of money!"

"Bob came out promptly, provided an estimate, and started the work in about a week. He worked around 4 or 5 hours each day, and the project took 6 working days. He was able to save enough old peach tiles to make an attractive border around the middle of the shower. The tile work is excellent and looks very nice. He cleaned up very well. There were some disturbing aspects, however. He ruined two hand towels in the bathroom by leaning the shower door on them. After he had re-installed the shower door, I noticed it was not on straight and raised concern about it. He attempted to straighten it, but it was not better. He said he would come back if it did not work out, but I did not ask him to come back for the door because I was upset that he had made new holes in the old peach tiles and didn't want him to do any further damage to these tiles which cannot be replaced. He had already broken one of these, and the extra holes cannot be covered up in any way. After he left, the sink next to the shower was clogged up. When I called him about the sink, he said that he wasn't anywhere near the sink and wasn't responsible for it being clogged up. He had only washed his hands in it. I think he should have taken responsibility for the clogged drain and asked his plumbing colleague to unclog it. Instead, I hired a plumber to fix it, which cost me an extra $160.91. When asked why the sink was clogged, the plumber told me it was quite puzzling, as there were pieces of ground cement in it. I then called the shower door company and ended up having to get a new shower door for $368, as they would have charged me $299 to come out and reinstall the old one. While I am now pleased with the finished product, it took two additional companies and an extra $528.91 to complete it."

"I am delighted to have found Jaime’ Quality Home Improvements! He did a total rebuild of our wet bar in the family room and a remodel in the half bath. He did all building of the bar, flooring, installed lighting, wall coverings, electrical, plumbing, etc. His work and attention to detail are amazing. He thinks things through and finds the best solution, which I very much appreciated. He completed the projects in a timely fashion and was very fairly priced. "My wife and I are licensed architects and very particular and demanding of our contractors. Bob explained the technology of his products and took the time to listen and understand the job. He was flexible and able to use the particular shingle we wanted which wasn't his preferred brand. We also replaced a flat roofed porch and, on the week of the job, we asked that he install a roll roofing material that closely matched the roof shingles' color. He quickly located that particular material which was not at his usual supplier. Most contractors would not have catered to their clients as he did. His workers showed up when they said and were neat and courteous. The flat roof took much longer than expected due to the difficulty of removing the railing, but they didn't charge more. The roofs look great and we are glad to have chosen Northeast Ohio Renovations."

"Our shower was causing a slow drip leak to our kitchen below. We had several plumbers and contractors out to diagnose the problem, but none could really find or fix the root of the problem. Matt diagnosed it correctly and fixed the issue for us. I was so impressed with Matt that I hired him to do repair and replace our back porch/three-season room. Matt completely tore off and replaced the roof, tore off and replaced the railing (which was rotted through), replaced the storm door that was broken, replaced a post that was rotted, repaired the cement, and repaired the gutter. It was a lot of work, and Matt is one guy, so it took a bit longer than if he had a team of guys, but he did a great job. Very happy with his work."

"Jimmy installed new handrails on my front steps and repaired a gutter to stop major leaking above a patio door. He did outstanding work on both jobs, and the price is very reasonable! The handrails look great and are very sturdy. The leak above the patio door has stopped. I will definitely use Callahan again."
