Jimmy and his crew were awesome. Due to delays on my end, they were working within a very small window of good weather. They power washed and painted my porch, garage door, awnings, trim and a large portion of exterior siding in 2 days. The crew was polite and professional. I really didn't think they were going to be able to get it all done but they did and it looks beautiful. Jimmy even added extra work that wasn't part of our agreement at no extra cost. I've already hired him to install new exterior lighting and I'm planning other projects. Jimmy Callahan is a stand up guy.

Jimmy installed new handrails on my front steps and repaired a gutter to stop major leaking above a patio door. He did outstanding work on both jobs, and the price is very reasonable! The handrails look great and are very sturdy. The leak above the patio door has stopped. I will definitely use Callahan again.

Callahan Painting & Home Improvement completed a tuck pointing job for the chimney stack on the roof of my home. The work is quality and finished in great time. Jimmy gave the most competitive proposal and I am very glad that I had Callahan complete the work.

I cannot say enough good things about Jim Callahan, Renaldo and Candice. They transformed the first floor of our home, including the kitchen, from an extremely dated look to a very modern look and all at a very reasonable price. They painted our cabinets inside and out with new pulls and hinges and it looks fantastic. It saved us from getting new or refaced cabinets. They seek solutions that are common sense and within a budget. They had great suggestions for our project including helping us pick paint colors. The work is outstanding. The textured ceiling repair and painting was remarkable. They start the job and stay on the job until complete. They do not work on multiple projects at the same time. They barely took any time for lunch. They are personable and easy to work with. They truly exceeded our expectations. We will use them for more projects. We highly recommend their services. Callahan painting did a great job at a fair price. Jim responded quickly after my initial contact and provided a competitive price. He was able to schedule very soon which made me a little nervous as other painters had much longer waits. My apprehension quickly disappeared as Jim and Ronaldo showed up promptly on the day scheduled to start. Jim reviewed all details with Ronaldo, and he started without delay. During this walk through I added two closet ceilings and one corner repair that Jim spotted. (There was a small additional cost for these but reasonable). Ronaldo was very thorough and professional in every aspect of this job. He covered all floors and furnishings including several large plants. We did not find a drop of paint or even the smallest splatter from the roller after the job was completed. Several repairs required multiple mud coats and sanding, but we never noticed any dust. All repairs were very well done. Cracks were cleaned out and secured with screws before mud to prevent future resurfacing and the finish matched so well you could not detect these. Ronaldo worked 9 - 10 hours / day and took very short lunch breaks; cleaned up thoroughly every night before he left and our evening routine was normal (like no painting was in progress). Truly professional, awesome job. Would definitely use Callahan again and highly recommend to all.

Outstanding, professional crew. Previously did a 5-star basement finishing renovation for us which we reviewed on Angi in March 2021. This time we had wallpaper removal and interior painting done, all excellent. Jim did a kitchen gas stove and fridge repair for us. He repaired and replaced two lights and a room fan for us. Laundry room and second bathroom flooring was replaced and updated. Replaced a gutter downspout. Built two patio access stairs which was a big improvement. Did an outstanding job getting our house ready to show for sale. Well above & beyond all our expectations. Jim & his crew are timely, very reliable, thorough and completely professional.

Jim was great! We needed to fix misc. items around the house in order to sell our home. We decided to have Jim do it all, and we couldn't have been more pleased with the results! it was so convenient having to only work with one company. The quality of work was superb. The crew did an excellent job. They corrected small issues from other trades before completing a re-install of approx 780 sf of ceiling drywall. Jim was very prompt at getting back to me on my first call out. He came out and returned with the crew member to clearly define the aspect of the job and cover all bases, so there would be no surprises. Smart! They remained on the job till finished, as promised. They were respectful of the property worked efficiently, clean and was very happy with the results! I would have added on the painting of the entire project after seeing how well they performed except it was promise to a friend ahead of time. Super friendly and professional!

We had a tight timeline for exterior paint and minor repairs in order to list our house for sale. Jim and his team stepped up and delivered. He quickly identified and fixed a number of potential sale violations (e.g., carpentry, concrete, downspouts, etc.) and even offered a couple of landscape fixes. He is very responsive and listens to the customers' needs. Highly recommended.

Jim and team were great to work with! He had great communication. He was focused on finding the cheaper solution to problems instead of automatically going to the expensive option. Superb! I can't speak highly enough about the quality work and honest pricing Jim and his team does. Jim goes above and beyond. Not only did he fix and complete remodel of 2 bathrooms that was originally botched by a shady contractor that I had to fire, he hauled away the junk that was sitting in my garage from the shady contractor for weeks and cleaned and organized my entire garage in the process! They were miracle workers! It was 25 years since my aluminum siding was painted. My white house was green and end pieces were missing. The gutters also pulled away from house. The guys were great and hard working. They power washed, scraped, re-caulked, painted and did additional prep work for me. My garage roof was tarred and the house gutters were screwed in. I will definitely call again for additional interior painting and other things I need done.

Jobs all went exceptionally well. Jim and his crews are all friendly, conscientious, personable individuals and seemed genuinely interested in their work. They did great work, cleaned up at the end of each day and made the process a no-hassle experience. My wife commented to me how she noticed the crews were always smiling/laughing amongst themselves which, to me, reflects people happy with what they are doing. Naturally, that positive energy ends up being reflected in the quality of the work and the end-result was fabulous. Not the cheapest alternative but I feel it was great value and will utilize Jim and crews for future jobs.

He did not use the proper paint and now I got to get the thing sanded, primed and repainted it and its gonna cost me more money. He belongs in jail, he is nothing but a liar, he says he will callback but he blocked my cell number. I call him and told him the problem, he said he will come out and looked at it and call me and he never did. They took all the paint of the wall and replaced it with an office paint that's not a semi gloss and it's hard to wash off. He should not be in business.I don't want him to cheat on someone like what he did to me.

Excellent work as usual! This was a rehire, so I knew what to expect. I had them paint the walls, floor and ceiling of the basement... it came out so much better than I could have ever imagined! It was Jim's idea to paint the ceiling white to brighten up the basement and then also to use deco flakes on the new grey floors. It no longer looks like the dungeon that it once did... it's a brand new basement in a townhouse that was built in 1900! I was blown away! On the exterior, they painted my front and back porch and turned my unused back patio area into off street parking (I live in the city and this will add a tremendous amount of value). To do this, they removed a portion of fence and poured asphalt to create a smooth entrance to the parking spot... they are capable of doing it all! In the bathroom, they put a new commode, vanity, reran electrical to adjust the lighting and painted. Everything came out superb! Jim always offers great ideas and executes for fair and reasonable prices! I plan on using Callahan Painting for all future contracting needs and will recommend them to whoever else is in need!
