Customers say: True professional

"Summersweet is by far the best Landscaping company I have ever worked with. Eric was the only landscaper we have ever worked with that was able to identify our drainage issue. He listened to our concerns and redesign part of yard to avoid anymore drainage damage brought on by the heavy rains. His workers were very professional and polite. I had a last minute concern and Eric had his team fix the issue on the spot without hesitation. We will certainly be using them again; you will be happy with this company."

"I have used Eric before for cleaning my carpet and have been very satisfied with his services, but today he performed a miracle. I thought I was going to be forced to replace my carpet after my dog chewed a Sharpie pen that left multiple stains. My carpet is cream colored. Needless to say I was extremely pleased. He was here for two hours and charged me $90. Considering new carpet would have cost $3200 for the room, I couldn't be happier."

"Contractor did a great job. Plenty of communication and replied promptly to emails. Did the work in a timely manner and cleaned everything up when done. I was especially impressed when they came back to fix a couple issues including one that required several hours to repair. I would definitely hire them again."

"Overall it went well. We had a few date/day changes that worked out though I stress when I need to adjust my work schedule. I work full time and have learned that I need to be on -site when work is done by independents. I also have 3 dogs that need to be managed. As a widowed and single older person, I feel a bit more protective of my space and security both during and in the future. Phillip is quite Jovial - nice 'good ol boy' affect from Texas. Very casual. I went ahead and had the work done on outside Gazebo (More an open Ramada) that got attached to existing structure so we'll see how that goes. I prefer more detailed specifications on the build. I won't use him for additional structures attached to my home until I'm retired. I could attached a photo if my son helps me but not at this time. Want to say he di modify the slatting on top to preserve existing vines as requested. Very Happy about that spec. treatment."

Foundation Repair questions, answered by experts

Consider scheduling foundation repair in Santa Fe if you spot diagonal cracks in exterior walls, notice persistent sticking of doors or windows, or observe visible foundation shifting. Water stains on basement walls after heavy rain or sloping floors also signal possible foundation settlement. Scheduling an inspection after significant weather changes or monsoon season helps catch issues before they worsen.

Helpful?

Before starting foundation repair in Santa Fe, confirm if your property is in a historic district or subject to HOA guidelines, as these may affect project requirements. Arrange for underground utility marking and soil testing to assess site conditions. Clear access points for contractors, protect vulnerable landscaping, and document existing damage with photos. Notify neighbors about the project to minimize disruptions.

Helpful?

In Santa Fe, areas most at risk include slab-on-grade foundations and crawl spaces, especially where soil expands and contracts with seasonal moisture. South-facing walls and corners exposed to intense sun can experience more rapid settlement. Homes with poor drainage or mature trees nearby may see increased soil erosion, making perimeter walls and entryways particularly vulnerable to foundation damage.

Helpful?

In Santa Fe, signs like stair-step cracks in brickwork, uneven floors, or doors that suddenly misalign often indicate foundation settlement or soil movement. If you notice moisture pooling near your foundation after rain or gaps forming at baseboards, these are also strong indicators. Minor hairline cracks in drywall, however, are usually just cosmetic and not linked to structural issues.

Helpful?

In Santa Fe, be cautious of contractors who avoid providing detailed soil analysis or rush you to sign contracts. Watch for vague repair plans, lack of local references, or missing proof of insurance. Reliable professionals explain their approach, address your home’s unique soil movement risks, and offer clear, written agreements. Guarantees that seem unrealistic or pressure for cash payments are also warning signs.
