Excellent work by Sol o Alire! From beginning to end Humberto, Abraham and the crew were professional and accommodating to our requests. The quality of the cinderblock wall is top quality. Definitely would recommend for any cinderblock and concrete projects.

Very well! Crew was timely, worked hard, followed my plan for my new back yard that now looks amazing. The only concern was the gravel size, which was addressed with a good outcome. Quality workmanship. I am very happy and so is my family. I plan to hire them again in the very near future.

This is the first time I have used Mountain Side Contractors. I found them on "Angi". From the first contact with them (initial call from Brenda) to the last encounter was outstanding in EVERY way! ALL of the staff was highly professional, extremely responsive and provided excellent workmanship. In this day and age (difficult to find a company that encompasses superior quality, professionalism and good value - along with people that want to work) - it is so refreshing to experience a company who stands by their word, exhibits the utmost integrity and professionalism. They showed up on time, were very respectful to my neighbors (noise factors) and always cleaned up after themselves as they found it. Cuco and Brenda were top notch in everyway. They kept me abreast during the entire process. I finally found a company that I can rely on! I will refer them to everyone I know, and will only utilize their services for any future projects! Thank you Mountain Side for making this experience the best it could be! Please see the pictures - they raised our North and East walls and poured a very large concrete pad for our new Swim Spa, hot tub and sun deck

Ed is the greatest mason you will ever find. Period. His work ethic is unsurpassed. If every contractor was like Ed it would be a much better world. Ed is one of a kind. The best of the best.

We got in touch with Mountain Side Contractors on a referral and we are so glad we did! They completed 3 retaining walls in a very sloped backyard as well as poured 2 concrete patios and a sidewalk that ran from the back of the house all the way to the back of the yard. They used colored concrete and had a selection of colors and stamps for us to choose from. They allowed us to make a few changes and additions along the way to make sure it was exactly what we were looking for. They also assisted us in raising our block walls. They arrived early each morning and completed everything in the time they said they would. We received a few quotes and theirs was the best. Coupled with great reviews online and a friend referral, they were the obvious choice for the project. They did an excellent job and we wouldn't hesitate to use them again and recommend them to neighbors, friends and family

Hired Mountain Side to move a cinder block wall section and also raise another. Submitted a request for quote via Angie's List and receive a call within an hour. Mountainside sent a rep to my address within a week to generate a free quote. Cuco spent about 30 minutes reviewing my plan and gathering measurements for the project. A quote was sent to me that night and a team arrived a few weeks later to complete the project. All work was completed promptly and professionally. I was present at my property to complete a final inspection before payment, and minor issues I noticed were completed before I made payment. Mountainside also accommodated my last minute modifications to the original plan, after I requested a couple pillars in the new wall section be completely filled for additional strength. I can't say whether the price they gave me is superior to other contractors, since they were the only company that responded to my requests. However, I felts the price was reasonable for the project. Communication with everyone at Mountainside was easy and prompt, and they contacted me prior to moving forward with any step along the way. I definitely will reach out to Mountainside to complete any future masonry projects I need done down the road. Definitely recommended

We bought a block construction 1800 square foot duplex in the North Valley that was built in the 1950s. To get the FHA loan we had to fix the “structural” issues like the foundation and roof and block before they would give us the loan. After the “structural repairs” were complete the first contractor was too busy to continue helping us. We needed a second contractor to do everything else to make it habitable. I called Advanced American Construction and the contractor returned my call the same day and met with me the next day to evaluate the project. From that point on they finished gutting the duplex to make everything new. They replumbed everything from the street in with PEX tubing. At the time I was not 100% sure that we needed to do so but in hindsite we are very happy that we did it then. They also put in new water heaters and built the closets around them. We asked for a shower with two shower heads and everything works wonderfully with excellent water pressure. When we bought the duplex it appeared nothing had been done to code. Our contractor did everything right so that we wouldnt have to worry about issues in the future. It was more expensive than we were anticipating but it will help any resale price in the future and I can sleep at night knowing the water pipes aren’t leaking and the water heater door is fireproof. All of the ceilings were sagging and the door frames were out of square and odd sizes. The contractor’s team repaired the damaged ceiling rafters and re-plastered every wall and ceiling at my request. They did such a uniform job troweling with the structolite base that I had them leave it like that. Additionally, the contractor recommended replacing the inadequate old ceiling insulation and insulating under the duplex. It had been much colder Inside than Outside during the winter but with the structolite and insulation the entire duplex warmed up. Now that we’ve moved in and its summertime we are finding that the inside temperature is much more tolerable with the structolite and insulation as well. The contractor also recommended keeping the old hardwood floors. This was our original plan but we had veered awkwardly away from the charm of our little rustic abode. We appreciate that he expressed his opinion regarding the atmosphere we were trying to achieve: simple, clean, close to the original, with wood floor living areas and tile bathroom and kitchen and simple white baseboards. He also recommended that we refinish the brick floors in the bedroom. At the time I was not sure but I knew that I would have to do it eventually. They look so much better! He triple insulated the walls between our bedroom and the tenant bedroom for our privacy. When the electrician carved up the kitchen wall to redo the wiring he reframed the wall without charge. The tile work in the bathrooms and the cabinet installation look great. They repaired the exterior stucco around the doors and the two new windows. We passed all the inspections and I’m confident that all of the work that has been done was done well. We are comfortable and our dogs are happy. I am convinced that every serious remodel done to code costs twice as much as you would expect and takes twice as long but in our case it was worth it. I trust that if there is a problem in the next year the contractor will stand by his warranty. I was able to reach the contractor to ask questions etc easily. I also want to emphasize how professional he was compared to some other sub contractors we have worked with. He listened to what we wanted, asked questions, made recommendations, gave more and less expensive alternatives and then completed the work that we agreed upon. If there was a questions or problem he fixed the situation immediately and never made an excuse. My recommendation for other homeowners is that they make sure that they fully understand what they are asking for and have a detailed estimate in writing. Make sure that you understand the labor price above and beyond the price of the job (additional demolition, trash hauling, reframing, etc) and check in weekly to see how many additional hours you are racking up. If the charges seem to be excessively high, discuss them with the contractor and you will probably find that his prices are within a reasonable range for quality work done to code. Attached are photos of the laundry room vanity, the brick bedroom nook, and the view into the kitchen

I met George, while intervewing several contractors. He stood out above the rest because he is direct and to the point. He didn't "ahh..." and "umm..." me. As I said I talked and met with several. When George and I came to terms, as to what I wanted done and how I wanted it done. He shared his knowlegde and experience in all aspects of home building and design. He was sure in giving me the pros and cons in the designs before and during the building construction process, as an example he told how affordable a central air vac. system would be during the framing stages, well as the glue beam for the garage, (that make pulling the motor out of the 1967 Dodge easy). Several things like that that made the constrution easy for me. When he was putting the inground pool in he made valuable suggestions that made the finnished pool that much more enjoyable. It was the attention to detail George has during all of the building process that really stood out. When the guesthouse, with a 5 car garage and 2 bedroom with central air and heat with great floors and the fantastic in ground swimming pool was complete. George had built a nice match to my home as well as a great floor plan that flowed just as well. (Great job George!!!) I would and will continue to recommend him and his work to anyone in need. Definetly someone who knows what they're doing when it comes to all asspects of home construction

Super job! Three man crew started and completed the work in under 3 days. George Chrzanowski and his team were professional and prompt from the initial bid through clean-up and billing. The fence was inspected by the CE and permitted without hassle. AAC has my highestendorsement.
