Customers say: Terrific value

"I was hesitant to try to find someone to install my flooring through this site, but I went ahead and gave it a shot. Gabriel with ABQ Flooring Pros reached out to me, gave me an estimate and then we set a date for him to come install my flooring. He showed up exactly when he said he would and did an excellent job installing my flooring. I highly recommend him and their company!"

"I had a large crack in my garage floor and peeling tile a previous owner had installed many years ago. They came in and ground the floor down, patched the cracks, and did a beautiful job on the floor. The crew was very professional and friendly. The answered all my questions and cleaned up each day. Very positive experience and I love the epoxy finish!"

"I chose Mediterranean flake and it came out beautifully with my sherwin williams seasalt paint color walls. Prosper 1 was professional, fast, and made everything real easy. With some research it is smart to go polyaspartic over epoxy for durabilty and longevity, overall very happy."

Flooring Installation questions, answered by experts

Flooring longevity in Santa Fe depends on proper acclimation of materials to the dry, high-altitude climate before installation. Using UV-resistant finishes and flexible adhesives helps flooring withstand daily temperature swings and strong sunlight. Local expertise with adobe and slab construction is crucial, as is selecting materials like saltillo tile or engineered wood that perform well in arid conditions and on uneven subfloors.

Helpful?

When hiring flooring professionals in Santa Fe, prioritize those with experience in local construction styles and knowledge of how materials react to the area’s dry air and intense sun. Ask about their expertise with radiant heating systems and traditional materials like saltillo tile. Reliable pros should provide references from Santa Fe projects, explain their acclimation process, and offer strong workmanship warranties tailored to the region’s climate.

Helpful?

In Santa Fe homes, look for cupping or separating wood planks, excessive fading from sunlight, and cracked or loose tiles as signs of flooring failure. Gaps along baseboards, persistent dust accumulation in seams, or uneven transitions near thick adobe walls often indicate improper installation or material choice for the local climate. These issues suggest the flooring wasn’t adapted to Santa Fe’s unique environmental challenges.

Helpful?

In Santa Fe, flooring maintenance means protecting against dry air, intense sunlight, and fine desert dust. For hardwood, use a humidifier in winter and apply UV-protective finishes to prevent warping and fading. Tile and stone floors should be resealed annually to guard against mineral deposits from hard water. Regularly sweep and use microfiber mops to minimize abrasive dust, especially during windy seasons.

Helpful?

New Santa Fe homeowners should inspect for moisture issues from seasonal rains, especially in homes with adobe or slab foundations. Upgrading entryways with durable tile or luxury vinyl plank helps manage tracked-in grit. Consider adding radiant heating beneath tile for comfort during cooler months. Choose flooring styles and colors that complement Santa Fe’s adobe architecture and withstand high UV exposure and low humidity.
