"The work done was excellent. This tabletop is over 75 years old and was part of a family piece of furniture. When it was dropped and broke, it was a great personal loss. Rodney did a wonderful job of putting it back together. I would definitely recommend him again."

"Andrew did an exceptional job removing and replacing the staircase to the garage entrance. I highly recommend him and will use him on future projects. He's a professional from the point of providing a written proposal, submitting the contract, and completing the work per the contract."

"We would highly recommend Darrick for your home improvement project. He is a very personable guy and he did thorough job finishing up our porch on schedule. His bid was very competitive and the quality of work was top notch. We love our new porch and plan to hire this company again for future home improvement projects.

"A coworker recommended Triangle Reconstruction for the crawlspace sealing, I was happy to find out they could do the floor joist installation as well. Everyone we interacted with from Triangle Reconstruction was professional and friendly. We would get daily status updates as the work progressed. The crawlspace looks great and now we have level floors."

"It could not have gone more smoothly. Randy (company owner) and Daniel arrived on schedule and immediately set about work on the projects. In 1.5 hours they were finished and the room looks wonderful. It's amazing how efficiently work can be dispatched in the hands of professionals! I would definitely use Harward Construction again (in fact, having another project quoted currently).

"We recently hired East Coast Crawspace solutions to handle a mold problem we discovered while trying to sell our home. My husband and I decide to sell our home and downsize after living there many years. When we started getting things prepared to sell we discovered we had a pretty significant mold problem along with standing water in our crawspace. Upon the discovery we decide we better try to get a handle on the situation before we started the selling process. The owner of the company Andrew came out hiself and did a no cahange estimate and gave us his recommendations as to what needed to be done to resolve our issues. Within they week his Crew came out and took care of all of our issues. Everything was preformed beyond our expectations and was completely hassle free. I would recommend them to anyone wanting to have work done."

"The owner, Ralph Nanolla, performed all of the work. He is profrssional and knowledgeable, and willing to explain the project and his approach. He was sincerely interested in making the home theatre work the best possible, and did so. He arrived on time, was not intrusive, and completed the job on time. He even cleanded up the place."

Basement Remodel questions, answered by experts

Envision the type of bar experience you'd like to create for your guests. For example:

  • Does your basement have enough finished space for bar stools or seating?

  • What type of additional lighting would set the tone for the room?

  • Are there basement windows or an HVAC system?

  • Do you need new plumbing in your basement for a proper wet bar?

  • Could you be happy with a built-in wall cabinet bar rather than a full-scale wet bar?

Framing a basement takes three to five days, on average, when completed by a professional, though it may take longer for a larger space. Keep in mind this doesn’t include the time to complete the design, obtain permits, and install the drywall on the framing. On average, fully finishing a basement takes an average of 45 days.

Key trends include home gyms, theatre rooms, additional rooms (bedroom/office), and more, with personalized styles reflecting individual preferences.

Whether it’s more affordable to gut a house than build a new one depends on the markets where you'd be buying and selling. However, it’s usually less expensive to renovate a home than to build new construction.

Most homeowners pay between $100,000 and $200,000 for demolition and remodeling costs, whereas the average cost to build a new home is between $139,000 and $531,300.

Yes, it is possible to turn a regular basement into a walkout basement. Doing so involves excavating the land around at least one side of your basement foundation, installing retaining walls to create a permanent below-grade area outside your home, and then cutting into the foundation to install an exterior door that leads out to the new space. This is an expensive and time-consuming project, but it can add a lot of value and utility to your home.
