"The guys from Juanchis are great. I had them come look at my project twice and they were super nice and helpful both times. Sam is easy to work with and gets things done fast. They had my entire driveway formed, prepped, and poured in about half a day. Excellent work, will definitely be using them again for any other concrete work I need done in the future."

"I would give 10 stars! From the initial call through the quote and setting the expectation was only surpassed by the professionalism of the team. I had 600+ feet of U shaped driveway tied into a heavily traveled state road, a concrete walkway and parking pad. After receiving many quotes, they were not the cheapest however was definitely the most knowledgeable."

"Anthony at Top Choice Concrete was happy to answer the many questions I had, and worked with me to understand my exact needs. His top concern was that the work was done well and that I was completely satisfied. The price was fair and the craftsmanship was excellent. I would definitely recommend Top Choice Concrete for anyone who needs concrete work completed."

Small jobs welcome

"We were so pleased with Tod Taylor and the work he did. He tore out the old driveway and walk, hauled off all the trash and laid a beautiful concrete drive and walk. He did everything the way we had discussed and was totally above board and honest. Highly recommend him."

"I hired Vale Construction to repair a crack in the sidewall of my garage on a house I am selling that was leaking a bit of water in heavy rain. They took a look, suggested a correction and submitted a reasonable quote. They were able to schedule the work quickly, showed up on time, completed the work and let me know when they were finished. The repair looks great and fixed the issue. I would, and will absolutely hire them again when I replace the driveway in my new house."

"I am very happy with my new driveway. Abe and his crew are very good at what they do. They did a great job. I highly recommend this business. People are always asking for recommendations on Nextdoor. I will certainly recommend Y&P and invite them to look at my driveway if they wish. I also feel that it was a reasonable price."

Concrete Driveways questions, answered by experts

Yes. You can pressure wash pavers. However, you risk damaging them if you use too much pressure or get too close. Use a PSI of 1,500 and spray the water at least 24 inches away from the surface.

A pressure washer’s size or power is measured in pounds per square inch (PSI). The amount of pressure you need will depend on your project and the material you’re washing, but consumer pressure washers range from 500 to 2,400 PSI. Porous materials like brick and stucco should not be blasted with anything stronger than 1,000 PSI, while you can use a PSI of up to 2,400 to clean a vinyl fence.

The ideal PSI (pounds per square inch) for a pressure washer depends on the surface you are cleaning. For general home use, a pressure washer with a range of 2,000 to 3,000 PSI is recommended and powerful enough for most residential projects.

The specific PSI you should use varies by task:

  • High-Pressure Tasks (2,500-3,000 PSI): Tough materials like concrete, stone, masonry, and brick can handle higher pressures. This is suitable for removing stubborn stains from driveways or cleaning graffiti.

  • Low-Pressure Tasks (around 600-1,300 PSI): Softer surfaces require a gentler touch to avoid damage. Use a low PSI setting for cleaning wood decks (especially softwoods like pine and cedar), vinyl siding, outdoor furniture, and stucco.

For best results, choose the right nozzle for your surface, such as a 15-degree nozzle for siding or a surface cleaner attachment for driveways. Using an extendable wand can also make the work easier and more ergonomic.

Yes, baking soda and vinegar can remove rust from concrete. Vinegar is acidic and can remove rust stains from concrete on its own. Adding baking soda may increase abrasiveness, which could help loosen some of the stain even more when scrubbing the stain. However, a stiff-bristled brush can do the same.

When hiring a professional to pressure wash your home, it's crucial to choose a company that is bonded, licensed, and insured. This protects you from liability if any accidents or property damage occur during the service; otherwise, the cost could fall on you. Before making a decision, vet at least three different contractors. Conduct thorough research by reading customer reviews, looking at examples of their previous work, and verifying the company's license. Before signing a contract, ensure you receive a written estimate that details all project costs. It's also wise to ask potential contractors a series of questions to gauge their professionalism and experience, such as:

  • How many years of experience do you have?

  • What are your credentials?

  • What cleaning methods do you use?

  • Do you have a workmanship warranty and insurance?

  • What is your availability?

  • What is your policy if you damage my property?

  • How long will the job take to complete?

  • How much do you charge?

  • What is your cancellation policy?

  • Do you offer a customer satisfaction guarantee or any additional services?
