"Brandon, did an excellent job in unclogging my toilet. Very professional and efficient. It didnâ  t take anytime to complete the job. Thankfully, he was able to remove the clog without having to take the toilet apart. Very thankful."

"They had expertise and were very efficient and resolved the issue in a timely way. And they were less expensive than two national plumbing company quotes. I would highly recommend them and use them again."

Small jobs welcome

"Very professional work staff, toilet works perfect now. I am very happy the parts they installed were twice and good as the manufacturers parts that came with the toilet. I will NEVER buy another Sturhling appliance they are cheaply made and dont hold up. Ifi t had not been for these quys, we would have had to buy another toilet, which was what the manufacturer wanted."

"I have been a Blantons customer for several years now and have always been really impressed with their service and workmanship, but this was my first experience with their plumbing staff. Tim D. was the plumber they sent to help us and he was absolutely awesome!! His knowledge of what needed to be done to fix our issues was dead-on accurate and we are more than satisfied with the quality of his work. He will be the person we request for our future plumbing-related projects in the very near future! This dude is for real, folks! If you have a plumbing issue, call Blantons and ask for Time D. He will have you squared away in no time!"

Toilets questions, answered by experts

If your toilet is still leaking after replacing the toilet flapper, then you may not have installed the toilet flapper correctly. Double-check that you have placed the flapper over the overflow tube correctly, and check the flapper chain is at the right length. If your toilet is still leaking, then you may have another problem on hand. For example, you may need to replace the toilet wax ring or replace the toilet fill valve if your toilet is wobbly and leaking from around the base.

Yes, you can install a basement bathroom without breaking concrete by using an upflush toilet system, which includes a macerator pump. These systems sit on top of the concrete floor, so you don't have to drill into it to install plumbing. The macerator pump breaks up waste until it is soft enough to pass through a discharge pipe to the main sewage line. This method saves you time and money by bypassing the need to break concrete to connect drain pipes.

Yes, a toilet, sink, and shower can share the same vent. This is a common installation method that can simplify plumbing and save space. However, there are important considerations. The vent and associated plumbing must be large enough to handle the demands of all fixtures without compromising the vent's effectiveness. Additionally, the toilet should always be located downstream of all other fixtures. Because requirements can vary and space might be limited, it is essential to check your local building and plumbing codes and consult with a qualified plumber to ensure the installation is done correctly.

Yes, you can have a toilet without a septic tank. However, it will have to be a composting toilet. Composting toilets work similarly to aerobic septic systems in that the waste, which sits in a separate compartment below the toilet itself, is slowly broken down by aerobic bacteria. These toilets typically have a vent to get rid of harmful gasses with a fan, which requires a battery. You will have to dispose of waste in the toilet manually every three weeks to every three months, depending on how many people are using the toilet.

A wax ring can often last the entire lifespan of a toilet, which is typically 20 to 30 years. However, it may need to be replaced sooner if it becomes damaged. Signs that your wax ring needs replacement include bad odors or leaks coming from the base of the toilet. The wax can also dry out, flake, or crumble if the toilet was not secured correctly upon installation or has become loose over time. If you notice your toilet wobbles, it's a good indication that the wax ring may be compromised and should be inspected to prevent leaks.
