I simply could not be more grateful for the gracious, warm, competent, and thoroughly professional reception I received from Carrboro Plumbing when I called this past week with a plumbing emergency. I spoke with Linda at the desk first, telling her about a OWASA alert I’d received showing spiking water usage numbers of 1000+ gallons a day. She reasoned with me through possible options and offered to send someone out to check for leaks that very afternoon. Thirty minutes later, I opened the door to our sub-basement crawl space to discover that our 14-year-old hot water heater had been leaky profusely. I called Linda again, telling her I’d found the source of the leak. She suggested we use the Facetime feature of my I-phone to let her view the problem and then walk me through the process of cutting off the appliance. The appropriate valve was rusted shut, however, and it wouldn’t turn. Facing that impasse, although Carrboro Plumbing’s recorded voicemail message and Linda herself had stated they were fully booked for the following 14 days, Linda promised to send a plumber later that afternoon. Fifteen minutes later, she called again to say that, if we liked, their plumber could bring with him and install a new water heater to my specifications. The amiable plumber and assistant who soon arrived went right to work and completed the entire on-site job in one hour, less than half the estimated time. In short, within 3 ½ hours of my first desperate call, the problem had been diagnosed, my old leaking heater removed, and a brand new, technically appropriate heater installed – all with great professionalism and at an extremely reasonable price. Service like this is priceless, and I’m immensely grateful to Carrboro Plumbing for their outstanding work. I do happily recommend them to anyone facing a plumbing crisis.

Korey (I might be misspelling his name) did the job efficiently and well. He was knowledgeable and friendly. Communication from the office was very good.

It went great. They not only fixed a leak under the kitchen sink and replaced all the old patchwork of pipes that were over 20 years old but they also found a leak under the bathroom sink. They were very professional and fixed a job that a handyman had botched. So glad that they came quickly and were very reasonable. Will only use them from now on for plumbing work. Don't mess around with handymen when you can pay the same and get a real plumber.

Replaced shower valve without problems. Work done quickly and efficiently. Only negative (minor) is that they did not send me a receipt by email as promised.

Informed us exactly what they were going to do. Very courteous and on time. Had 2 small issues and they came back in 1 week to correct them.

They did a superb job, and saved us hundreds of dollars over the estimate from another bigger plumber in the area.

Owner came out with a helper and commenced to tell us how expensive things would be. They really didn't seem interested in doing the work. They did replace an element in water heater which works great. Said he would send us an estimate for the other items in a week or so. When we received the bill by email, again said we would get an estimate soon. They came out last week of Dec 2016. As of Feb 17, 2017, we still haven't received an estimate for the remaining work. I would have rated an overall "D" for unresponsiveness except they did fix the water heater. Seemed capable enough, just not really interested in the work we wanted done.

We had low water pressure, particularly noticeable if we had two water sources turned on at the same time. Carrboro Plumbing quickly diagnosed the problem, had the valve with them and replaced it in a timely manner. They then checked that the problem was fixed. Responsive, quick and professional service

Chris, the owner, came out and he was great. We very much enjoyed working with him. I would highly recommend him. He was very honest and he did great work and he did it quickly. I will be using him again shortly.

It went great. Extremely pleasant experience. Finding reliable home repair companies is very stressful to me; but I am sure I've found the plumber I will use as long as I am here. Chris is pleasant, professional, very skilled, and just has a nice and quot;vibeand quot;. That is priceless. Any question or comment from me was treated with respect and I think genuine interest. The work done was efficient and no mess was left behind for me. It meant a lot to me that Chris was very precise and accurate regarding the time he charged for. I felt in no way taken advantage of, and would recommend Carrboro Plumbing to anyone.

Plumber arrived on time and was able to repair the toilet. He explained the problem with the toilet to me and what he would be doing to fix it. I appreciated the fact that he was fine with my asking questions about the toilet repair he was doing. I would use this company again and recommend it to friends.
