Avoid at all costs!!! They took a several days to "be available" for a repair and then told me that it could only be done first thing in the morning because the repair was in the attic. When I corrected them that it was outside they told me I was wrong and didn't know what I was talking about...they arrived and the repair was outside... On Friday they worked for 12 hours replacing a compressor, came in and told me that they couldn't finish because there was a problem with the flame torch and didn't I see the firework show because of it. The next day the tech came back with someone to help him at 8am and said it would be 1 hour. At 11pm he was still working on it after admitting they kept breaking piece along the way and didn't have the right tools. At 11pm he left saying it was fixed, which it wasn't. I called to talk to a manager about inappropriate billing several times over 3 days and a manager hasn't returned my call. I called today to continue the repair and they escalated again to a manager who is still supposed to call. Not holding my breath... I 100% think they accidentally fully destroyed my less than 3 yo unit and don't want to admit it.

My young first time homeowner daughter called the ARS location in Knightdale, NC on 06/24/2025 to fix an inoperable AC unit. Tech came out and said the compressor fan motor and capacitor was "locked up" and needed to be replaced at a cost of $2600. He also said it would be a couple of days to get parts. It was 90 degrees in the house and 94 upstairs. He then sent his salesman to discuss a complete replacement on a 13 year old system. He left knowing her fiance worked from home and the home was very HOT. He charged $116 for the service call and left. I came over while the salesman was there discussing estimates. I walked outside and turned the fan by hand and it started running. The fan motor was NOT locked up. I ran up to the parts house and bought a $17 capacitor and replaced it. It's been running ever since. It took me basically an hour to drive in traffic, pick up part and replace it. During this whole time the salesman finished his pitch and sat in his car on the street for over an hour. Nice work ethic right? I called the company to try and talk to a manager about my experience and I got a call center that said somebody will call me. You can not call the company and talk to a manager. I called the HQ and still nothing. I really don't think there is a quality control manager as they say there is. No callback as of yet. They tried to take advantage of my young daughter just to make a sale for a complete replacement which was not needed and left her in the heat. They don't care about their customers and just push the upsale of a complete replacement. I fixed this system for $17 when they wanted minimum $2600 and days to fix in a major heat wave. I called another company and they said they would do this same repair if needed for $350. I feel the least they can do is refund my daughters $116 for the "lack of service call." Never again!!!! Read the reviews on Yelp and Google. Not the 4.5 rating on their website. They are CROOKS!!! DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES........

Regular fall maintenance was scheduled in a window from noon until 5pm. They said they would call 20 minutes before the scheduled arrival time. I called at 4:45 to reschedule. Two weeks later - same schedule, noon until 5pm. This time, they called at 5:15 to say their technician was on his way. Once he finally got here, everything was fine. But their scheduling leaves much to be desired.

0 stars. I have a main drain clog with toilet water backing up into my house. I called last night and was told that I had been put on standby for a plumber tonight. Thst was at 8:45pm. It's now 3am and no one has called. So I called just to find out that they put an appointment in instead of putting me on standby. I only have one bathroom in my house!!! I have been up all night waiting for a plumber to call me because I was told they would and now I'm being told I have to wait an additional 6 to 10 hours!!! The customer service is trash. They don't care that this is an emergency situation at all and they certainly don't care that I've been up all night waiting for a call at their request. Sorry doesn't cut it here. This is unacceptable. UPDATE: I called the emergency line because toilet were was backing up into ALL OF MY DRAINS the entire night. They said they couldn't help me. So what is the point of the emergency line? I called again this morning and the agent switched my appointment to 12 to 5 even though I told her I didn't want her to. The dispatcher finally calls me after I had called multiple times. I had to threaten to sue for property damage for them to finally treat it like am emergency. That doesn't mean they're sending a plumber now, it means I'm "next." No one at this company cares. I have been jerked around all night long by these people. I just need the main drain unclogged. I can't use my one and only bathroom or any water in my home and I have been up all night long because of them. It's not ok to treat people like that. UpDATE; after the plumber came out the line backed up again. I called them and they said they put me on standby last night. No one came our or called me, which is clearly just normal for them. I called again this morning and had to set an appointment. The agent told me they forgot to call me. It just gets more and more ridiculous. I have never dealt with such poor customer service like this.

Job was done exceptionally well. Inspector even commented on how well done. Downside: they arranged financing for the whole project then, months later, informed me I owed over $700 they failed to include in the loan and were turning me over to a collection agency. Pure BS business practice.

They scheduled the annual A/C service, gave a window of 8am until noon, and said someone would call 20 minutes before arrival. No one showed up. I called a little after noon and they said someone from dispatch will call to reschedule. 12:50 as I'm ready to walk out the door, the service technician shows up. No call saying they were on their way. The technician found charring on a capacitor - not covered by the warranty or service call. I asked if I could wait until the capacitor failed. The technician said that could damage the compressor. $350 to replace it.

Horrible, horrible experience. I had a Trane Heat Pump XL16i-2.5 ton system installed September 2020 by the Rapid Repair Experts. They were great w the sale, install and customer service including honoring the Gold Package maintenance service that I was sold and paid extra for and also the guarantees associated with the purchase: 24 hour maintenance; 2 year maintenance agreement no charge; 2 year warranty on labor; 10 year warranty on parts. 3 weeks back I called Rapid Repairs number on my contract due to the system was not cooling. The associate answered as Rapid Repair Experts and stated they would have someone out to my house the next day (not my guaranteed 24 hours). However, the technician did come out in a ARS van. I was confused and asked why the van did not say Rapid Repair and he stated ARS bought out RR. I thought okay, no problem and man, WAS I WRONG. He stated that ARS does not honor any guarantees, warranties or service agreements stated within RRs contract. I was floored. He called his supervisor and I got on the phone to only hear the same as the tech had told me and a bunch of apologies. The tech and tech supervisor agreed that this was a horrible business practice and that they have been getting many complaints. Unfortunately for me it was 94 degrees outside and my house was 80+ degrees. I told the tech to go ahead and replace the capacitor, which he did in 5 min w no issues. My issue is not with the tech but w ARS customer service. ARS charged me $487 to replace. ARS never told me there was going to a charge and acted as if they were still Rapid Repair on my initial call. ARS falsely acted as RR Experts but the when at my house and replaced the capacitor, they required me to pay stating they are not honoring any of RR Experts contract agreements. This is total BS. I have called customer server 4x now to only be told they are very sorry and would have a manger contact me. So here I am having paid for a service where my contract clearly shows should be covered and sitting here calling ARS weekly to only get told they will have a manger call me and no manager follow though. Stay away!! The lack of compassion and follow through since ARS took over is deplorable and disgusting.

A nice technician showed up on February 2nd and assessed the issue. I was told a part needed to be ordered and it might take about 3 weeks to arrive. I said that's OK please order we have a small child, I don't want to be without heat. After waiting over a month and not hearing anything from the company I followed up. Was placed on hold and left on hold, which was unprofessional and unacceptable. I waited a few days tried again no response so I left a poor review on Google... then I get a call saying sorry the part wasn't ordered, it's been ordered for rush delivery (why wasn't that done the first time?) and it will be here in a week, the lady that called said she would personally follow up. The GM also replied on Google but never called me or from the fact that the repair was never completed never actually followed up on my complaint other than to try to save a few points on Google. This company is unreliable and unprofessional. Look elsewhere.

We had a lot of plumbing work that needed doing, including the installation of a new direct-vent gas hot water heater, pressure valve, expansion tank, the running of a gas line for gas fire logs, the installation of the logs, washer valve and hose replacements, overflow/drain replacement in a tub, new valve in a shower, etc. We took several quotes and, on balance, Rapid Repair's quotes were the most competitive. They were able to schedule the work quickly. Matthew, the technician, was very nice and professional. Communication was great - I always received accurate email and text notifications (with a picture of who would be coming) about when to expect him. The invoices were clear, and Chris, the manager, was very accommodating. I will certainly use Rapid Repair Experts again when I have plumbing needs!

The technician they sent out was incredibly knowledgable and took the time to answer numerous questions I had about several different systems as well as finance and warranty options. We ended up putting together a deal with financing I am happy with, a price that seemed very fair after receiving several quotes, and a 10 year parts and labor warranty. The technicians that came to install the system did a great job and were very professional. They also took the time to walk me through the various functions of the new thermostat and other questions I had about the system. They accidentally pushed against one of my older water pipes in the process of moving the very heavy unit around in my crawlspace and immediately notified us and called a plumber (also from rapid repair) to fix. The plumber showed up very quickly and resolved the situation and then answered several additional questions I had about the plumbing. I've been very pleased across the board with this company.

My Rinnai Tankless Water Heater had been installed by ARS in late 2016. I came back from a trip recently to find that there was no power going to the unit. I called ARS on 3/17 and asked if a technician could call me back as I had previously fixed this water heater with codes found on the unit and some online instruction. The technician Alejandro didn't call me back but came by and found that the GFCI had tripped and he reset it with the push of a button. He stayed for a while after that to try and up sell me another water heater and if not that then a maintenance service that would cost me $600. He went to his truck and came back a while later with my $247 bill. He said he had reduced the trip fee from $99 to $69 as I believe he thought the charges were unjust. Later when I looked online I saw that $50 is a typical trip fee in the Raleigh Area. On 3/18 I called their Raleigh Quality Assurance number and was told someone would call me back. On 3/19 I sent an email to their office and then on 3/20 I spoke with Janice Harris at their Corporate Customer Relations number who told me she would get back to me. I am still waiting.

I scheduled this long-distance for my mother, who is a senior. She had received a very expensive proposal from a national company and I found Rapid Repair on Angie's List to see if I could get a more reasonably-priced water heater installed for her. The gal on the phone was knowledgeable, friendly, and professional. They were busy, but came as soon as they could to assess the situation. They installed the water heater two days later. They kept me informed the entire time: sent the proposal via email to me, texted me when they were on their way, called me when running a little late. Kenny, the technician, was very polite and professional on the phone. My mom was happy with his service and that of the electrician's, too. There was an overcharge on her credit card, which they caught and corrected quickly, then notified me so we wouldn't wonder when we saw the credit. I so appreciated feeling that they cared to give my mom good service.

I will NEVER work with this company again. My 3 year old HVAC unit installed by ARS (unfortunately) stopped cooling, so I called them out to service. After the Tech inspected the system he showed me an itemized list of issues including a charge of nearly $700 for refrigerant and another one for $1800 for a WARRANTIED repair (parts covered by Rheem and 3-4 hour job). The Tech got very aggravated when I asked for details on each item. My concern was could they charge $700 for 4lbs of r-410a refrigerant? Seemed like price gouging to me. He told me to “call his supervisor in the morning and negotiate a better deal.” Really? So I called the supervisor and he was less than helpful. When I asked him to explain how a 3-4 hour job could cost near $2k, he said it’s a flat rate price set by “management” and couldn’t give me a breakdown of the cost. Keep in mind all the parts are under warranty, which means $0 charge to ARS. He attempted to explain that the job required “special tools” and “solder work”... huh? My gut told me to move on and I’m glad I did. I ended up working with a smaller company and saved a ton. Also do yourself a favor and read some of the “A” reviews on this site. Many are worded the same. hmmm...were they added by a “friend” of the company?? Very suspect to say the least.

Was easy to schedule. Brandon C. called and alerted before he arrived. He was knowledgeable and friendly. Inspected and Diagnosed where water was leaking and rebuilt the whole thing. Leak was below the flapper. Also fixed the leaky water valve. Tried repairing repairing the garbage disposal but it was beyond repair. I got the new insinkerator disposal and he installed it with out issues efficiently. Thank you Brandon.
