"Marvin and his team were amazing! Project was to tear down a large front porch step system and replace with stone. Not only was he responsive and prompt, he gave us great suggestions for our stone steps and his pricing was very competitive. Received two others that were around the same price and a couple that were much higher. We will be using Marvin and Brothers Mancia for future projects. On a side note, we chose Marvin and Brothers Mancia over another mason we found on craigslist (we were in talks with this mason to sign a contract but had Marvin come by before we signed) and we specifically chose Brothers Mancia because of HomeAdvisor and the reviews Marvin received."

Yes, it is normal to see some minor hairline cracks in brick or mortar over time, often due to natural foundation settling. However, not all cracks are harmless. You should be concerned and contact a masonry professional for an inspection if you notice cracks that are getting wider or longer, or if new ones keep appearing. Other serious warning signs that can indicate significant structural or foundation damage include large vertical cracks (especially those that widen as they go up), stair-step cracks, L-shaped cracks, and deep horizontal cracks.
