"Woody and his crew did an OUTSTANDING job. They removed all of our overgrown landscape plantings. They created a new design and installed new plantings and mulch and the house and yard look MUCH better. The cost of the project was extremely reasonable. They were friendly, easy to work with and extremely accommodating. Woody even went out and obtained additional plants for the project, same day, after we decided to expand the scope of the project. We are VERY pleased with with the quality of work, attention to detail and cleanliness of the work. We highly recommend Carolina Professional Landscapes, LLC for ALL of your landscaping projects."

"It went great! Mr Moreau came out and did an awesome job! I originally planned for 1 day but it turned into a 2 day task as he had to move A LOT of dirt for us. We have gone from having a large unusable space in our back yard to doubling, if not tripling, the amount of usable level ground. This is much needed and reclaimed space. He even managed to smooth out a spot for a great big shed as well. Will highly recommend him and plan on hiring him again in the future for another project. Can't say enough great things about him."

Small jobs welcome

"Shadyside Landscaping did a great job. They understood the goals of the project from day one. A wall was framed, drywall installed and a door hung to enclose an existing bedroom. Their team was dedicated and completed the project in a timely manner. I would hire them for future projects."

"Was lucky enough to find this company. My previous landscaping company went out of business. I was searching for a company to help with fall leaf pick up and removal for the season. As soon as I contacted, Mudrock, Nick reached out immediately and took care of me. At his first visit, not only did he take away all my leaves, he tidied out my entire yard before he left. Very professional, kind, and fast response, I highly recommend using this company for any landscaping needs"

Landscaping questions, answered by experts

Professional lakefront landscaping addresses environmental factors such as water level fluctuations, erosion control, and native plant suitability. Regular maintenance includes pruning, fertilization, and ensuring drainage systems function well.

Late August, September, and mid-October are the ideal months for planting a young tree. However, the best time to plant a tree ultimately depends on when the weather transitions to fall-like conditions and eventually winter frost. As long as the hottest days of summer have passed and the ground hasn’t frozen yet, you can still successfully plant trees.

Surface-level tree roots might only pose a small threat, such as being a tripping hazard or obstacle when you mow your lawn. But if mature tree roots start growing in the direction of your home’s foundation or plumbing system, it could be a real problem. Cutting small tree roots out before they grow too large can keep your home safe without removing the whole tree.

You can fill the holes weeds leave behind with soil or sand to avoid unsightly spots or tripping hazards. If you remove weeds from a grassy area, fill the hole with soil and grass seed, and water regularly to promote grass growth.

In most cases, buying plants from a local greenhouse or nursery is well worth the investment, even though they tend to be a bit more expensive than those at a home improvement store. Employees at nurseries are usually well-versed in gardening and understand how the climate in your area affects different plants. They can help you make selections based on your skill level and time commitment to your landscaping, and they can provide detailed care instructions and advice to help keep your plants alive and diagnose and treat issues like pest infestation and illness.
