Crawl spaces may be out of sight, but we make sure they’re never out of mind.

"I want to share my experience with Chris, owner of Crawl Space Jam, who recently completed an encapsulation project for me. I received quotes from several companies, but Chris truly stood out. His contract clearly outlined the scope of work and pricing. He was very thorough in explaining the problem with water standing beneath my house, how it could be resolved and what the finished results would look like. He not only provided pictures of the space before work began, but kept me informed daily of progress updates and photos. He welcomed questions and answered immediately with clear explanations. He gave a start and finish date, offered fair and reasonable pricing for the service and even completed the project ahead of schedule with photos. I can say with confidence that I highly recommend Crawl Space Jam for your encapsulation project. Chris’s professionalism, transparency and commitment to quality service can’t be matched. "

"Donâ t believe everything they tell you about their system. We hired this company because during heavy rains (4inches or more), our basement tended to flood. We discussed this with the sales rep who came out, Albert Morrow, and told him we didnâ t have problems unless it was heavy rain. He recommended his company and told us the system was designed for this. After we had the system installed, we had no problems but also no heavy rains for 2-3 months. However, in December we had 5 inches of rain during one storm, and OUR BASEMENT FLOODED once again. A technician came out and basically told us the system worked the way it was supposed to but during flooding conditions the system was overwhelmed . So basically we paid $7500 for them to come out and install a system that does not work when it should. We would have been better off just to keep our money in our pocket and just wet-vac the water out when we have heavy rain. NO,WE DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY OR THEIR SYSTEM. We are basically screwed out of $7500."

Masonry questions, answered by experts

You can use a regular drill to make pilot holes for gutter brackets in the wooden fascia board around the top of your house, but it’s not the best tool for brick. Instead, you’ll need a heavy-duty power tool like a hammer drill with a carbide tip bit.

Yes, brick walls often add value to a home. For starters, many people love the look of brick walls, so they can enhance your home's aesthetic appeal and add warmth to your property, especially when it aligns with the rest of your neighborhood's look. They also provide privacy and security, which can further increase the resale value of your home.

New constructions need time to “settle” and sometimes, small hairline cracks occur as a result. Larger horizontal or “stair step” cracks, however, are usually a sign of a deeper, more severe issue. It could indicate an issue with the soil beneath the home, a problem caused by an overgrown tree, or another problem.

Cobblestone is not a type of rock but a term for a mosaic or rock laid down as a surface. It used to be made from the closest available stone but now can be made from nearly any hard rock, as machining has made shaping the stone much easier and cheaper.

Most classic red bricks can last 20 to 40 years without major repairs or renovations. If brick is maintained, it can easily last 100 to 150 years. When weighing brick vs. brick veneer, homeowners are often surprised to learn that even thin veneers can be expected to last 50 to 100 years.
