Customers say: True professional

"Barkley-Jensen Roofing is one of the best decisions Iâ ve ever made in my lifeâ ¦ Long Story (Short) my insurance company was agreeing that 75% of my roof needed to be replaced, but were refusing to cover the remaining 25%â ¦ 2 Other roofing companies dropped me and stopped answering my callsâ ¦ Barkley-Jensen Roofing (Chase/Jacob) stuck though the entire battle with me, (a long 5 months)â ¦ Even after the insurance representative hung up on us twice for no apparent reasonâ ¦ But needless to say weâ ve eventually prevailed. My current roof is so beautiful, I find myself looking at it when I check my mailboxâ ¦ If I was ever going to refer, vouch for, recommend, ect., any roofing company at all, â BARKLEY-JENSEN ROOFINGâ is the one!!! -Lance Hamilton-"

"Recently had our roof replaced by A&M Premier Roofing Co. Originally met with one of the owners who explained the work, and process of the entire project which followed soon after. From estimate to completion of work, this company was great to work with! They installed a beautiful roof. The installation crew was right on time, and finished within a specified time - all very friendly, professional, skilled and very efficient. They were meticulous with their clean up - no trash, and no nails. Thank you A&M Premier Roofing Co. owners, office staff, and especially to the roof installers/crew; couldnâ  t wish for a better experience! Ruth Z."

"Mike and Beth were easy to work with and accommodating of my schedule. Their crew was very polite, stayed on the job, and even worked past their normal work day hours, after asking me if it would be okay. The roof looks great and they cleaned up behind them selves and were very careful to not damage planting, etc. around the house. I consulted another roofer, but Triangle had the best price for the same shingles and work. I had consulted them after receiving several recommendations from my neighbors and would recommend them myself."

Roofing questions, answered by experts

Some people prefer to use connectors consisting of galvanized metal to replace the birdsmouth cuts on the rafter board. Common names for these metal pieces include hurricane ties and variable-pitch connectors. Making birdsmouth cuts is more cost-effective than purchasing these connectors for each rafter. However, because making large birdsmouth cuts to accommodate extra-wide exterior walls can weaken the rafter, a connector may be the better option in some cases.

Metal roofs have a bad reputation for being loud, even if that's not necessarily true—it's usually only thin tin or sheet metal roofs that are loud during storms. Stone coating adds a layer to the metal that severely cuts down on any noise from rain. In many ways, stone-coated steel roofs are quieter than your average, run-of-the-mill asphalt shingle roof.

Re-roofing is the process of placing a layer of shingles over top of existing shingles, rather than pulling out those shingles and replacing them. Compared to a full roof replacement, re-roofing typically costs less and requires less labor and time. It's not an option for everyone, though. You may need a full roof replacement if your roof already has more than one layer of shingles. A full replacement may also be necessary if your roof has extensive damage.

Yes, Energy Star roofs are one of the best types of roofs for cost efficiency. They can reduce your peak cooling demand by anywhere from 10% to 15%.

Yes, but it won't be as effective as installing it as part of a new roof because it won't be as water-resistant. However, a drip edge installed after the fact is better than no drip edge at all.
