Small jobs welcome

"We had our chimney resurfaced with a more durable ;bird proof EIFS synthetic stucco. Fernandez stucco did a great job and the chimney looks like new. Juan was easy to work with, kept us up to date and was always responsive to questions. The crew worked hard and seemed to be a nice group of guys. Would definitely recommend Fernandez stucco to anyone needing stucco work."

"Odyssey Contracting Replaced the defective shingles on our home in 2019. After a heavy rain and wind our roof developed a leak. After one call to Odyssey, they send Carlos and his crew and repaired the leak and then a crew to paint the stained wall and ceiling all under warrantee. They were professional and courteous"

"I have employed the services of Abel at Plaster Solutions multiple times over the last 4 years. He has helped me with projects both large and small. His most relevant work includes a kitchen and bath remodel, repairing exterior stucco and replacing damaged drywall. I highly recommend Abel's services. I really wish he was still in Greensboro!"

"AMAZING JOB!! Showed up on time everyday ready to work. Very respectful of being in someone's home and very careful. They spent almost an entire day putting up plastic and prepping the walls and areas that would be painted. Very time consuming but as a result I didn't have paint where it wasn't supposed to be. They did an excellent job taking down wallpaper that had been up for over 20 years and did not damage the walls. I was most thrilled with my oak cabinets in the kitchen. I had been warned not to try to paint them but Rafael (owner) and I researched different techniques which they implemented and the cabinets look fantastic. I feel like I have a new house. Rafael was easily accessible by text, phone, e-mail and very responsive. He stopped by almost every day to make sure I was pleased. I would definitely recommend Hi-Lite Paints for interior or exterior work."

Repared, trimmed, painted amd pressure washed the structures and it looks better than ever. Exceptional service, follow-up. "Dusty, the owner, was always professional and called me a few times before the day to ensure we were all in synch. When he and his co-worker arrived, they cleaned up some of their hardware to ensure it was clean going into my house. They put a few necessary tools on a drop cloth in my hallway and got straight to work. One painted the bathroom and the other painted my bedroom. They were quiet and professional the whole time, including shaking my hand during the introduction. I was away that afternoon at a football game when they finished. Dusty called me to let me know he was leaving, the work was complete, and they would need to come back to do a few touchups with some trim paint. When they pulled off the trim tape, some of the trim paint came off (it's an old house). The colors were an EXACT match to what I selected. I gave it a thorough look-over and they did a VERY quality job. I'm am more than happy with their work and to recommend them."

Stucco questions, answered by experts

Quikrete will set without mixing. The process of pouring dry concrete into your concrete form and then adding water is called dry pouring. While this method makes pouring concrete simpler and easier, it reduces its strength and durability. It can be a viable option for small, decorative concrete pavers for walkways or for setting fence posts, but it’s not ideal for pouring slabs that will bear any significant amount of weight.

Costs range from $500 to $2,000, depending on the damage size and texture matching.

Masonry screws are the best option to be used on stucco. They’re thicker and made to penetrate harder surfaces like concrete and cinder blocks. Fluted masonry screws work the best because they create a stronger grasp thanks to the lines on their shafts. If you’re working on exterior stucco, use galvanized screws to prevent corrosion.

The best way to assess that your stucco needs repair is to inspect it, both visually and physically. If you notice cracks, chips, or staining, that’s a good indication that your stucco could use some TLC by a professional. Additionally, if you touch an area that feels soft and has a little “give,” you should consider repairing it as soon as possible to avoid further damage, both to additional stucco spots and to your home’s structure.

Well-maintained trim boosts aesthetic appeal and prevents costly future repairs.
