The crew moved through each obstacle with speed and efficiency. I was also impressed by how clean they were. They even put up plastic walls to keep dust out of the rest of the basement. When they left, the floor was probably cleaner than when they arrived! With all the recent rain I can now hear the water trickling from the new drain pipe into my sump pit. He said the house (build in 1917) had settled, and that the sidewalk along the side of the house was sinking toward the house, resulting in the water in the basement. He recommended removing the existing sidewalk, and laying new concrete with the proper slope away from the house. Although it was not a cheap fix, it was half of what I feared it would cost.
