Chris was delightful. He was efficient and neat. He told me what he was going to do and performed the services in a timely manner.

I was going to have some work done to my basement and needed the water heater moved. It was time replace the heater so I asked Northern if they could remove the heater and install the new one the next day. They were fine with that. The workers were very professional and friendly. The installer took the time to explain all the controls and maintenance. Very pleased with results

We purchased a reverse osmosis water filtration system for our drinking water and ice maker from Northern Plumbing and Softening in 2015. They accepted our existing system as a trade-in. We are very big water drinkers so love having fresh tasting water right at our kitchen sink. We schedule Northern Plumbing and Softening to come out to sanitize the system and replace the filters as necessary every 12-18 months. All the personnel have been a pleasure to work with!

The work was completed within 30 minutes to my total satisfaction. The worker was pleasant and easy to communicate with. He answered my questions with good responses that made sense. I would hire again if I needed plumbing work. Thanks

It went very well. He saw the AC compressor went out and let us know there's still another year left on the warranty, so we're now calling to get the part replaced under the warranty.

Was on time for appointment - replaced all filters and another part and system has been working fine ever since.

It was very smooth. He was on time. He used social distancing and was wearing a mask. I felt very secure. He even sanitized his computer before I signed. He did very good.

I called for a service  on March 6, 2015 and the set up the appointment for between 1 and 4 pm, on March 9, 2015.
The called me again on March 9 at 10 am and reset the appointment for 11am and 12pm on March 9, 2015 as their repairman had a opening.  I agreed to the change and waited until 11:30 am and called them and said I had not heard from the repairman.  They assured me that he was on his way..  At about 12:30 the called me and said he could not make it because he had to take someone to rehab appointment, but said they would get someone there between 1pm and4 pm.
At 3:50 pm a guy in a delivery truck came to look at the softener..  He looked at the softener and after 5 - 10 minutes found that the new water I had installed 2 month ago, was sitting on top of the discharge water tubing preventing the softener from operating
Since he did not have a service truck he could not fix the softener.  He offered to send another service truck out the next day, but  I would have to pay another service charge.  I declined and said I would go to the hdwe store and buy and install a new tubing for the softener..
I was told over the phone that the service charge was going to be. $78.00.  What I wasn't told was that there is a$2.00 a minute charge for the time the "serviceman" was at my home for a total o $20.00.  I also was not informed that there would be a FUEL SURCHARGE of $4.96.  After reading this I decided I can not afford to call these people ever again.

I had a good experience with them. They were able to set up an appointment in a short period of time. I spent time talking to John and he really helped me figure out exactly what water heater I wanted, that consultation was worth a lot and very helpful.

I called contractor to get estimates for needed plumbing. Arrived a few minutes late but I received a call prior to arrival that would be late. After arriving Chuck reviewed the options for fixing plugged sink and leak in pipes and gave me estimates for fixes. They were reasonable so I said he could go ahead with the work. He was able to do the work at the time so I did not have to reschedule appointment. One of the requirements was to remove a broken disposal and disconnect from disposal switch. While removing the switch plate cover he accidentally broke it. He called the office and another person delivered a new one for him to replace the broken cover. He completed the work and cleaned up work area. I was very satisfied with the work and Chuck was very helpful and professional.

In 2013 we started investigating the replacement of our water heater. It was 20 years old but it was not having problems (yet). We wanted to try to avoid having a hot water problem in the future so we started the replacement investigation process. I called several contractors and got competitive bids but decided to put it off until 2014. Late this winter (20140 ) I noticed water on top of the water heater with some dripping down the side so we knew our time with this water heater was about up. I called John at Northern Plumbing again. He remembered our conversation the previous year. He was near us, very straight forward, and he made me comfortable with his experience level and confidence in phone conversations. He answered all my questions and he quoted the same price again for removal an replacement. We agreed on a date to do the job. Without prompting John promised that we would have hot water from the new hot water heater on the replacement date. This was expected but reassuring to hear. Chuck was the plumber assigned to the job, He came out to inspect the area in the basement where the work needed to be done. He addressed my questions and issues regarding access and removal of the old water heater. Chuck determined the job would require a new water shut off valve, an upgraded gas valve to meet building code, and required disconnecting existing furnace gas line to allow for removal of the existing heater. He quoted an additional $150 for these items. Chuck needed to leave to get the new water heater from the supplier since my unit had to be used for a previous job. Chuck returned shortly and started to work. He removed his boots on many trips in and out and protected the carpets with tarps when removing the old water heater. The work went well and the workmanship was excellent. He got the job done start to finish in about 4 hours. As John promised we had hot water again that evening. The new water heater continues to work great. I would recommend Northern Plumbing in the future for similar work. I received the City Inspection paper work yesterday so all I have to do is schedule the city to come out and inspect the work and this job will be finished. Overall it was great working with these guys!!!

All went well and he was on time and got the task completed. We did have to have him return to re-seat the toiled because the wax ring hadn't completely seated so the toilet rocked. He came out and took care of the issue. Very pleasant to work with.

Chuck, the owner, is GREAT! He is very friendly and helpful and is willing to explain everything at a level anyone could understand. He makes you feel cared for as well as does a great job. They also installed a water softener previously and were the lowest price for a good quality product that I could find. I have referred them now several times.

I spoke with Chuck several times over the phone to understand why I shouldn't use a no-salt water softener in Minnetonka, MN and what he recommended. He explained everything very well and provided me with recommendations that fit my needs and my wallet. I was able to research the recommended options before he came out, and then have him install the unit in the first visit - a definite time saver. He installed the unit in the time he said he would take and answered all of my questions.
I was very pleased with Northern, and will definitely use them for all of my plumbing needs in the future.

I called Northern first since they repaired a faucet conneciton for me last year. I received quaotes for three brands. A lter called gave me the model numbers so I could research them. I called another plumber for a quote to check prices. The prices matched for the same models. Since Northern did an excellent job previously, I engaged them. They showed up just at the end of the window they told me. Performed the replacement and clean-up in an hour. Very good work.
